I disagree, what about all those shares BP bought at lower prices ?
I know they are cancelled but the ones that remain are worth more due to numbers and the SP surely.
If BP had retained them they could theoretically have sold them on for a profit.
The market value keeps increasing for whatever reason but it helps us investors.

Sheel increase divi by 15%, up nearly 6% this morning, I can see it breaking £25 today.
A good demonstration of what a divi increase can do.
I3E should have the scope to increase the divi and buybacks at this level of Mcap would do wonders for the sp imho.
This is THE time to be doing it, a wasted opportunity to maximise company value.
