If Parsons fails us then many have said they would be prepared to take him to court and have the evidence to back up their allegations via the many videos they have saved and downloaded onto their devices. If I lose my money then it's my fault and I'll put it down to bad luck and a poor investment decision. I will say though that the hyping of the share got out of hand at some of those SOU events and the chickens should never be counted until they have hatched.

Some of you have life changing amounts of money invested here and have gambled your houses, pensions, marriages to some extent on this investment coming good. Parsons will only be too aware of this. You will recall the MYSQ debacle. One of the investors over on that bb came on and said that his financial loss has caused his marriage to fail. They are the stories nobody wants to hear. It's bad enough losing money but when a relationship fails, that's a whole different matter.

What will be will be and only Parsons can change that. All we can really do is sit it out and wait to see what happens for the simple reason that so many of us are underwater. Even the day traders are underwater!

This bb has become very abusive in the past few days especially. Investors goading other investors (Gaspunter?) and the general unprovoked attacks and name calling. Let people have their say and if you don't agree with something then you can chose to ignore it or better still, filter the person so you don't have to plough through endless carp.

As I said, it's over to Parsons to prove to all of us that we have an asset(s) worth bidding on and that he can do some deal making. There is little more to add at this stage in time. You are either a believer or not as the case may be. I'm not scared of losing my money on this now anyway. What will be will be. Fed up of worrying whether or not I'm going to ever leave the panoramic views from above the chip shop. And besides, I'm going to view a new Audi tomorrow and will most probably buy it. Life's too short and all that....

On the subject of short lives, I'll be joining Trellis soon with some serious wine drinking and look forward to his Liquid Event. I may even go out to Spain next year to visit him and Wannabe 5 / 6 / 7. Time for some Chablis I think.

Looking to replace the 17 year old Chuckle Wagon with a new Audi, all being well. No pressure JP! Unfortunately, the new car won't be able to transport bottled gas to Sevenoaks. I suspect JP will be ordering his new Aston Martin '69' plate.

Sorry to learn about your marriage break-up, Gold'. He has caused a lot of problems for us all. For me, it cost me a new car, Audi but that can't be compared to a relationship break up. I think it was around £40k you lost, right?

Of course I am holding. Have absolutely no intention to sell a single one of them until we get to LE. I've come this far and will see it through until the end, even if I lose my money. The MYSQ loss has made me thicker skinned.

I first bought in back in 2014 when it was Sound Oil & Gas. I didn't derisk my investment when the price reached £1 mainly because I didn't understand what derisking was. That rookie error cost me £6k. I then panic sold when we had that fateful RNS outlining the duster at Badile. I then bought back in again at around 34p and since then have averaged down three times, so have a fairly reasonable average in the greater, grander scheme of things but still underwater like most people.

I wish I was blessed with your foresight / luck. Call it what you want. I recall staring at my computer screen for weeks on end with several thousand pounds worth of paper profit and not hitting the 'sell' button, mainly because I was a rookie back then and can you believe, had even less of a clue about investing as I do today?!
I am stuck here until the conclusion....whatever that looks like and unfortunately, that is a stark reality for the majority of us, including some of the SOU BOD! However, their paper loss is more than offset by their wages.
You are no longer invested here so may I ask you why you spend so much time on this bb bragging about your investment successes? It comes across as gloating if you don't mind me saying and it's not a particularly endearing quality.

If you concentrate on the worst case scenario of how all of this will conclude, then JJ keeps on cropping-up in my mind with his northwards wondering eyes.

Worst case scenario? We don't manage to find a buyer and we are forced to go long having to nurse a forever increasing amount of debt and having to raise substantial sums of money in order to continue with the drilling. The share price would probably be around 4p too.

Not so harsh is we just manage to sell our Eastern Moroccan assets and then JP leaves and JJ takes over as our new CEO. With the help of a farm-in partner, we go after the prize over at Sidi with a 2-3 drill campaign that will probably last for another 2-3 years and I suspect with mixed success. We would have at least one fund raise and a share price that struggles to get above the cost of a spam fritter.

No, this is not for me thank you very much. I'm not even excited about further developing the Te-5 Horst either, so JJ please take note. There are a very few people who have the appetite to go long, even if there is the potential for a greater prize 2-3 years down the road. We are bored, frustrated and tired and just want our money back with some profit to spend on things that we don't really need e.g. steak.

I just wish they'd sell the whole company in one fell swoop. One fell swoop? That sentence isn't designed for our feathered friend, Partridge.

You could of course be spot on with your observations though. We retain SM, JP leaves SOU and JJ continues as our new CEO. We will then be subjected to at least one fund raise (after a sizeable amount of money is held back from the LE pot) and then circa 2-3 more years of madness as we attempt to scratch around amongst the olive trees looking for gas.

There is then the issue of what our retained value will be with just SM. I won't even care to guesstimate what that could be.

Nah, I say sell the whole company to the highest bidder. Our exploration days are over IMHO.

May I remind you that hunting season is nearly upon us again. I recommend that you fly back to the relative safety of your pear tree and keep your opinions to yourself. There's a good grouse.

Should JP deliver us a decent enough LE, which simply translates to a return on our investments, then I'm sure his trusted disciples will follow him with whatever his next venture is. Possibly C4 Energy, which you alluded to in your message. I just hope that he has learnt a lot whilst at SOU and won't deploy hype when marketing his next company's assets or chance of success etc. It won't be believed anyway! The market has become way too fickle in recent times and Brexit is just compounding our cynicism.

Changing the topic of conversation, has anybody seen or heard from Trellis this morning? I'm surprised he didn't reply to Boab's posts with their reference to drinking and alcohol.

Yeah, all eyes are on Parsons to deliver us a decent LE for "all stakeholders." That means that nobody should really lose any money based on their initial investments. It's now up to Parsons to show us just how good a deal maker he actually is. Luckily for us, our assets are worth something to the right buyer, assuming there is at least one and I suspect even they have trained themselves to ignore the hype and to concentrate on the facts.

James is correct. So why is he letting his Exploration guy update the market with new news in the form of a simple email reply to a PI? I hope and trust that JP will speak to his colleagues this morning and remind them that they need to be extra careful at this late stage. I won't bang-on about this any more. I just want to ensure that each and everyone of us receives information in a fair and consistent fashion. These sporadic emails being passed from pillar to post isn't professional or indeed ethical IMHO.

It just angers me that they are still making schoolboy errors with regards to how they communicate news to us. You'd think they'd exercise the utmost caution at this crucial stage in our journey, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
Is there any wonder why more and more PI's are turning to the bottle to help them get through this so called build-up to our LE? We have a new poster on this bb this morning who is even making our beloved Trellis look like a tea drinker. You couldn't script it. Hilarious really.

I'm grateful for any news that comes our way. It's how that news is delivered that I have a bone of contention with. The fact that more than 10 companies are interested in us is new information. The fact that the deadline date is way before October 31st is also new information. The fact that the presentations have been received well and are aiding with the bidding process is also new news. Some will call it "fake" and others will take it in red. I won't take anything in red until I see it in a RNS. That comes from my experience of being invested in SOU for as long as I have. Ignore the hype and deal with the facts.

No, I wouldn't know how to short and have never done it. No, I'm underwater like most of us. I just don't trust anything that comes from Mitchener and my trust in JP has also eroded away. The pair of them need to earn my respect and trust back and the only way they can do that is to deliver us a decent LE. I don't believe the current PR needs to be based on what BM is saying either. This needs to come in the form of a RNS as I have been saying for the past week. It was new information and the market should have ideally been updated. You may disagree with this, but it doesn't sit easy with me knowing that certain PI's may be at an advantage over others with snippets of information that may or may not come their way via the BOD. JP take note please. I'm not being negative either. Just realistic with what I believe to be fair and right.

Nobody should take anything the BOD says in red until and only until we see it in a RNS. There has been so much speculation and hyping coming from the SOU BOD over the years, that people shouldn't fall victim to it again. It's probably an attempt to keep the share price somewhat stable in the interim and this radio silence will continue for some time yet.

I am not going to believe anything that Mitchener says. Not after the poor results at the drill bit and him standing in front of you at the 'Sailing with Sound' event remarking that he wanted to stand in front of you with at least 6 TCF under his belt, or words to that effect. And how many times was 31 TCF bandied around the boat that night? I recall watching that video and feeling very embarrassed by what I was seeing. Unbelievable really. Never count your chickens until they have hatched, is what I was taught at school and growing up. I hope JP more than anybody has taken this advice on board and hopefully doesn't do it again with whatever his next venture may be. It's not very smart, James....

I never trust anybody that almost starts blubbing at a sight of a perfect anticline either. As I have said on countless occasions thus far, should SOU want or indeed require more gas, then to give Chuckle Energy a call and we will personally deliver bottled gas to Sevenoaks in our Chuckle Wagon. Trust me, we have more than 1 molecule of gas to our name. If they want to improve on their seismic, then call my friend Omar Bouzalmat and he will be able to tell them where the gas is hiding.

I wish all of us a gaseous day and don't believe everything you read or hear regarding SOU. His email was poorly written too and grammatically incorrect and had a missing word too. Nuff said.

Thanks for the mention, but I ain't promising anything to anybody. I am merely suggesting that given the value of our assets, I'd be surprised if we don't get at least £1 per share come LE. Many don't share my optimism, which is understandable, but I have a hunch that things may turn out just fine for us. I'm just not liking the radio silence at the moment, but hope that at least one bid will come our way and that the prolonged silence hasn't been wasted time or money.

Maybe BM should consider a career in PR & Marketing? On two occasions he has allegedly provided us with two useful snippets of information. The first regarding ONEE and the second a more general update on where we are in the process regarding a potential bid / offer. I did make the point the other day that surely this information should have been in the form of a RNS, as it was new information and IMHO information that was substantial enough to be considered RNS'able.

Either way, I'm not really fussed. I'm just happy that we are being fed any information at this stage in time. At least Brian has been forthcoming with some news unlike JP who seems obsessed by radio silence. Perhaps BM fancies the big jobs?! Haha...
