WF, ticked! I'd add in; quiet, cheap purchase of other tenements close to Hav (if there are any left) and purchase of other prospects in the same geological type of terrain.

I tried to look up when gold labs close for Xmas in Aus. Couldn't find it. But I now know that Golden Labradors live for 10 to 14 years.

From a purely aesthetic point of view, does anyone like rose gold? I like rose gold and 24 ct yellow gold best.

Bluetiger, that's an impossible question. You have to see the item. Turn it over in your hands. Exactly how high end the tiles were, their age, patterning, English Delft, I'm assuming. People now have realised that Delft is valuable so prices are inflated. Lot cheaper in 80s/90s but now could be £20, £100, £400 or £10,000 to £20,000 a tile (for a super rare one) but condition is key and smashed to bits might affect the value, LOL

Speedy, I was going around a stately home, as you do, and after spending a long time in the Canaletto Room (27 in the collection, OMG) I spied a tall classic blue and white Delft tulip tower - early 1600s, mint condition. Utterly beautiful. It was just sitting there, on a wall cabinet, all by itself. I collect Delft, by the way. Not the modern stuff - 1600s, the earlier the better, including English Delft, not just monochrome. I once saw a charger in an antique shop in Lewis, again early 1600s, polychrome, absolutely brilliant, classic man and woman, dated, but it had a small crack, so I left it. Then I saw its twin later in York Museum. I went back to Lewis but it had been sold. Heyho.

I've stopped buying Delft for the moment. Only buying shares, mostly GGP. Maybe when Covid19 is over ...

What a shock for you. No words can truly help you at the moment, only time, and you’re not ready to hear that yet. Let the grief engulf you. Accept it and let the waves wash over you, for they will lessen and move further apart, and stop. Fill your days with your children and grandchildren, friends, neighbours and church, and keep busy. Keep busy. You can and will get through the nights. Find the inner strength to lean on others and keep going. I do not presume, but I believe your wife would want that. Feel no guilt for one day realising you’re smiling. And in case you’re wondering - yes, it’s normal to talk to your wife.
