Okay, I finished the video. Extremely interesting. I love the blind spot function and the massive Sat Nav screen, hate the poor headroom (for me) but I'd definitely be interested in running my house for nothing on hydrogen fuel cells from the car sitting in the garage.

PS What happens if the car goes wrong en route somewhere? I wonder if the AA, RAC and Green Flag are up to date with the technology?

Apparently, there are only 13 hydrogen refuelling stations in the UK. Several close to the M25, 2 in Wales, 2 in Aberdeen, 2 in the West Midlands, 1 in South Yorkshire, 1 in Swindon and 1 on Orkney. Ummm, they need the infrastructure.

I have the same coat as Robert. £40 off eBay, new. I also had a full length one, to the ground, but it was too heavy to wear so I sold it.

I watched Jools Holland last night (Hootenanny) , best ever, and the fireworks, lasers and drones over London. Excellent.

WF, '2-3 yrs'. Let's hope by then GGP will have shaken off what I call 'day traders', the impatient types who dip in and out of a share hoping to get rich quick. I see huge rewards to be had here by having patience. ATB:)

Hi Bamps, that's very interesting, thank you. You know, I think miners deserve every penny they make. It's dangerous and risky work and they have so many things to think about to keep themselves safe, just while they are going about their day job.

The Supporting Statement shows the tailings dam at Telfer. You know about these things. Has the waste gathered in these dams ever been too radioactive for workers to work nearby? Surely all the nasties can also soak into the ground, causing environmental damage?

Frank3h, you are receiving so much advice now, some of it wrong, so please get yourself an accountant or contact HMRC. I would suggest an accountant because you can agree on their fees before they do anything for you if you explain what you need from them, [their fees won't be much]. And they can help you in so many ways, including going forward. As sticky wickets go, it's not a very sticky wicket at all, so don't stress about it. Remember, any phone call with HMRC will be affected by their staffing levels and probably working from home and being on Xmas break.

You are allowed to have more than one Stocks & Shares ISA.

You can add money to ONE Stocks & Shares ISA ONLY in any one tax year.

You are only allowed to actively trade in one S&S ISA. For example, if you have two S&S ISAs it is allowed for you to make a profit on the shares in your first ISA. You do not accrue tax on that profit.

If you make a profit on the shares in your second ISA this is NOT allowed. It will be treated as a non-ISA trading account and you will owe tax on any profits over your annual CGT allowance to HMRC. CGT is payable on sale of shares. For the first offence, [ie where you are at the moment] HMRC will consider that you have just made a mistake and they will not fine you. If you keep actively trading, repeatedly, in more than one ISA during the same tax year, they will fine you in addition to demanding tax on any profits from any additional [ie, second, third] ISAs.

I would suggest that you get an accountant. And I would suggest that you telephone HMRC and ask for their advice. Tell them you're new to shares and that you got into shares to try to look after yourself in your old age. Obviously don't lie to them but give them a reason to help you [which I am sure they will].

Thanks for the link, HG. From the same Bloomberg's TV prog today, gold down slightly, copper up, Trump stopped playing golf and signed the relief bill, so gold up. It also said that London shares were up today - don't think so, Market's closed!
