HUGE problem. Washington DC's Mayor has Pentagon permission to deploy the National Guard at Trump's rally today. Oh boy.

I just dipped in here today. I'm going to be watching The Godfather Movie Part 4 over the pond today and tomorrow - far more interesting than here at the moment with no real GGP news, but it's going to be really difficult on Jan 19th/20th - do I watch Washington (Bastille Day and One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest) or do I watch here for Scally news? Thank goodness for multiple screens.

Hi Speedy, Events in the US could affect the POG. On 5th January the 2 controlling Senate seats will be decided in Georgia and on 6th January the winner of the 2020 presidential election will be declared by Congress. A final clear victory for Biden will confirm a fiscal stimulus package which will in turn support the POG.

If the tensions in the US cause civil unrest on 6th and into 2021, stock markets may well be volatile. Popcorn time. Sit back and watch the parade.
