I think for balance we need to differentiate SP movement and mining and exploration activity. At the moment we have a total disconnect.
1. Is the SP woefully low at the moment? YES
2. Is the company delivering against their stated strategy and timelines? YES
3. Do we have short term (this month!) news due? YES
4. Does the GCAT BoD have direct control over shareholders actions? NO
5. Will the market catch up at some point? In my opinion YES - do I know when? NO
Lets keep it balanced and in perspective and as I have posted many times, make decisions on the fundamentals and only invest what you can set aside for an indefinite time and you will not go far wrong.

Agreed on the JORC comment Moneymaker - Bankers like it to hang their hat in if they are asked to supply finance on the back of it - but guess what, for my money - if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks, I don't need an ornithologist to tell me what's in front of me.

If we focus on the content, this is a very positive interview (I mention focusing on the content because frankly the interviewer wasn't the best and our Colin and Charles are miners with a wealth of experience and not polished PR people - apologies not slight intended at them - I want miners for and foremost at the helm).
Clear schedule for activities:
- a couple of weeks to get permits for mountain use
- refurbishing (didn't catch what!) - takes about a month
- then collecting and stock piling ore
- processing underway 4 to 5 months after stock piling started
The interviewer tried to draw a commitment for first gold purchase before Christmas but they wouldn't be drawn on that - and wisely so in my view - unforeseen delays can occur but one thing is for sure - they are going to give it their best efforts. Always best to under promise and over deliver in my view.
These chaps have amazing credentials and experience and of course the Philippines was a left field bonus and we are given insights into the positives of people people engaged and the likelihood of having an incoming supportive president.

Finally it was great that they shared their view 'after pounding the streets of London' - that investors don't seen to get it at the moment and hence why they are going for proof of concept first - so they can show potential investors the shiny stuff!

For many of us old hands here we have always 'got it' - the next 6 to 9 months should see a lot more people 'getting it' too!

An interesting post OnlyOneShareMe.
From my experience in a FTSE100 company, metrics were a constant evolving beast, driven by individuals, market trends, key milestones and strategic objectives. In my mind it is not surprising at all that we have seen various templates for market reporting from Caracal given the company is not even a year old yet and as you say, new people have joined even in that short space of time.
I think that we could come up with quiet a detailed list of interesting aspects of the company where we would more information and that reflects not only our monetary investment but I suspect for some, a growing emotional attachment to this fledging company. We must recognise though that the BoD are there to look after shareholder interests in managing the granular detail.
Personally I think that as the months go on, we will start to see a more steady state of reporting - in timings and format as the new FD helps influence the BoD. Lets not forget of course that this is also an incredibly dynamic company with huge plans for growth and hopefully future acquisition, so when I say 'steady state' - that is in the context of nothing is going to stay constant here other than growth and expansion in my view. And that is why I am invested here after all.

Very interesting interview - for those with limited time, Caracal is discussed 17.20 onwards. Passionate about the ambitions of GCAT and what that translates into for his communities and wider national economy. A great NED to have in the team.

Just listened to Robbie's last words on the StockBox interview. When asked any key things for the market to look forward to ..... Robbie's answer ..... "the mineral resources, thats the big one! We're looking forward to that".
Due next month - so are we Robbie! Will the market have caught up by then? It has no excuse not to given the word is getting out there.
