My 10 cents8 Jul 2022 17:22
For what it is worth-
- I am not a geologist or a miner
- I try and look at fundamentals and quality and experience of the BoD
- I listen and learn all the time
- I have invested based on official news and the quality of the BoD and team
- I particularly like the sustainability report and the commitment to the local workforce, environment and community
- I like gold - always have and belief in its long term store of value
- I understand in a very very small way the incredibly hard work going on every day at Kili in demanding conditions, where you can't nip down to B&Q to get a replacement part - the supply chain is arduous and complicated here
- every project that I have been involved in in a white collar environment has had unforeseen set backs and obstacles to overcome - I can only imagine the challenges faced in uncovering gold and extracting in an increasing capacity
- a forecast date is just that - it's a bloody good estimate weaving together countless interdependencies - one of which can derail or delay
- communication is hard - getting the balance for the market and investors - projecting considered optimism against known and unknown challenges in a very competitive environment.
- health and safety - paramount throughout
I could go on and on and on but you get the flavour.
This company is evolving at warp speed and if you are on the ride enjoy it but don't get phased by the odd week or so delay in hitting a deadline. The strategy is not a TV guide where you look at the listing, choose the channel and there is your soap - this is exploration and mining, so if you haven't already, perhaps recalibrate your expectations and put yourself into the BoD shoes if you dare!
Robbie and team - you guys are playing a blinder - thanks.
ATB and enjoy the weekend - it's going to be a hot one.
