Higher than usual today - interesting...

This is a very good RNS in my view. For me it was never going to be about produced numbers for the quarter - it was always going to be the case that production would fall as they progressed the updates. To use the old analogy of Formula 1 - try changing the tire when the car is still moving! The company has made great progress on all fronts and importantly they are hitting the milestones to achieve their stated strategic targets. The 24K oz pa run rate is on track for the end of the year. A reminder to anyone sitting on the fence here - look at the progress - consider the Market Cap (ridiculously low) and the goals and aspirations of the BoDs. I am very happy personally. ATB

It will be the one year anniversary since trading commenced - what a journey in just 12 months. Hopefully news soon will be an early 1st birthday present for us all!

Agreed Bebeto - for me this is about the progress for future production and achieving the 24K oz pa run rate by the year end - FIRMLY on track as we already know but I understand the market likes a little more detail.

Hi aprogerson. Just to clarify - this is a paperwork / admin issue between the company and the FCA. There is no dilution - the issued share capital remains unchanged as per the final paragraph in todays RNS. The shares were announced in the RNS dated 7/12/21 - you can cross reference the numbers. The issue is about admission for trading rather than issuing - different things. No dilution - no change to the issued share capital.

Good to see the company tweeting this morning - reminding the word and incoming Kenyan government of it commitment to providing direct and sustainable benefits to local communities - it has 456 local employees and supports the communities within which it works.
It's the right thing to do and it is good to remind all of the social responsibilities that the company have embraced. Well done GCAT!

Yes we only have the word of the CEO....
The chap who is in charge / has all the executives reporting into him / is driving the strategy / talking to the brokers / is on the ground.
I would be more than a little surprised if he then issues an RNS a few days later that doesn't back up the high level statement about being fully on track. However I can predict now that there will be a number of people here who will not like the format and or the level of detail that the forthcoming RNS reveals. We all have different expectations.
When you invest, you also invest in the capability of the BoD to deliver the strategy. GCAT have a wealth of experience in the BoD and they have huge plans and they are moving at pace. They are a relatively small team that has already evolved and been added to within the year (almost) since they formed this company. They operate in a fluid environment (gold prices and supply goods inflation)and I suspect they are reacting to a dozen or more different challenges every day that would have been difficult to foresee moths ago. I suggest investors give them a break and wait for the results and very importantly the progress update detail which supports the CEO's very clear and unambiguous statement that they are FIRMLY on track to deliver the expansion plan.

Hey Mickey - I think you got your sign yesterday from Robbie - quote - firmly on track to complete the expansion by the end of 2022. Personally I am not am miner and am in awe of some pro the posters here with their knowledge. I tend to be a big picture investor and for my money, I know all I need to know at this stage. As for future funding and given the timescales for a placement, it is obvious to me that there will be no dilution here in funding that expansion. This is such an easy investment decision for me at these SP levels. ATB

As the office was probably closed today Mickey I am not personally expecting them tomorrow but I would love to be wrong. Certainly (hopefully!) by the end of the week though - that has always been my expectation. A day of 2 halves today - I preferred the second half of course - but ultimately like any game it's the final score that counts!

No chat (sorry just spoilt that) but 2 x £10K purchases - presumably the same investor. Nice purchases sir / madam.
Must be some news due soon - not because of these purchases but because time is ticking.

I think if you read between the lines maqsood then there will not be a placing. It has already been explained that a placing could not realistically happen until the year end given the need to finalise accounts and then agree with the FCA which can take around 3 months - by that time most of the work will have had to be done I would have thought. Unless I am missing something here? ATB

The only question in my mind maqsood is how many bags and within what timescales. I don't know the answer but I have no question in my mind that it will happen. The fundamentals and strategy are too compelling frankly and the POG rise is a nice backdrop and forward momentum but even at lower levels, they have applied stress tests and money can still be made at much lower POG levels.

This tells you all you need to know - we are very much on track. The RNS will give the detail but the key message is out there. If anyone is still on the fence you have to ask yourself why.

The other thing worth mentioning is that today is a public holiday in Kenya for the elections - we were never going to get news today therefore in my view.

If you look they have taken the tweet down - someone being over zealous and not realising the consequences of putting this into the media again without context. Nothing has changed from yesterday other some nervous types exiting and giving others further opportunity to load up at cheap cheap levels.
