On Telegram you can post **** as well as talk ****.
Occasionally I suspect I talk ******** after a bottle of red late on a Saturday night.
Never use the word **** even though I think it occasionally.

Legalwolf - maybe worth mentioning that a Telegram poster met a representative of the company (not Robbie) at the conference yesterday - he asked whether there were any issues with the funding and he was told no. No detail was discussed however - just a clear but high level NO.
I have just been sharing my experiences with lawyers and what might be happening in the background. This is what I posted:
I think in this case we have a siutation where Robbie is not in strict control of the time frames to get a final contract over the line - multiple players / lawyers etc - ever been in business situations where you think wtf - are they just talking for being heard / creating **** to justify a time sheet? I have dealt with lawyers a lot of the years in business - one of my big bug bears when looking at the itemised billing (every 6 minutes!!) is to realise the amount of time billed for laywers talking to each other within the same firm - when you drill it down it is often the junior drafting contracts - then looked at by their boss before sign off from the partner for the big ticket numbers - and that is before the other sides lawyers get hold of the document to start thier side of the dance again. Serioulsy unless you have had personal experience with contract lawyers you have no idea and as the client often has little control. Anyone else had similar experiences to me??

Another poster, an ex lawyer confirmed my experience and then added in the potential added delay from getting customer sign offs because they are busy people - that could be the position with the big money person in the background.

I am more in the 100% positive camp but I think 90% is still a reasonable call given the delay in official news.

ID78 - funny how we see different things - I think that this could be read in a number of ways given the quote about growth opportunities - my interpretation would be the longer term growth opportunities but depending on how the gold for gold contract is written, it contain a break clause allowing GCAT to repay early if a more attractive funding opportunity became available.
The London conference is a showcase for circa 150 miners to showcase their companies and raise awareness - you never know what contacts are made and future deals might arise on the back of the networking.
In short in my view it would be an act of total desperation to attend a conference hoping for someone to finance the short term expansion costs. That's not the position that Caracal is in from my perspective but I am sure that all will be revealed.

For what it is worth I am with Mickey.
Yes we have had a large seller and we know who it is after yesterday - Goldplat. They have their own agenda and cash requirement - they are not an investment fund. So anyone drawing a direct correlation for their motivation to sell GCAT and the very near term potential for GCAT, would in my view be making a mistake.
We have been given an eye into the future in terms of amounts that will be spent. This is not a paltry sum and we are most likely talking about an international finance deal crossing boarders involving a LSE listed company, with interests in 2 African countries and the financier/s are probably based in Europe but who knows.... Can you imagine the sets of lawyers, consultants, BoD's all trying to come to one final version of the agreement? I can only imagine the time and legal costs involved. But at the end of the day we have GCAT who want the money and an entity that wants to lend it's money and to make it's money work harder for it - both sides will want the deal and in my view the deal will be announced.

My money firmly remains on Robbie - it's not just his reputation that is at stake - it's his own personal investment and the jobs of circa 500 people and the families that depend on them. He is going to deliver imo.

Personally I am expecting an sides delay in the Q3 report given the huge distraction of the audit which I can imagine sucked in a lot of the finance team hours, so I am not going to fret if that happens.
Now to focus on the coming week - London presentation and the very real possibility of the flood gates opening for news flow!!

In my opinion we are going to be richly rewarded for our confidence Mickey.

I was always confident about the financing ever since the imminent comment - I am sure we will get the official news very shortly given the direct to funding in Frankfurt.
My attention though is now firmly fixed on the Vim results. Robbie chose to use the word extraordinary- I was hoping for good results or even great - but I will settle for extraordinary.

2 other call outs from Robbie’s presentation for those not on Telegram. Still forecasting AISC of between 1000 and 1100 per oz after expansion (that’s a result in my view) and he mentions extraordinary drill results from Vim which they are compiling - I am looking forward personally to seeing those.

Beyond my technical ability Mickey. Not trying to recruit for telegram group but it’s there for all. Fully funded for expansion and big numbers quoted for spend between now and end of that - 15 to 20m usd - now we know the sort of finance deal that will be announced. Compare that to our current MC!!!!
