I would be afraid to drive with you - I can imagine you only looking at the speedometer - not a clue where you are, the gear you are in or the distance covered. Time to look up Clifford and check the sat-nav. We have come along way and we will be shortly leaving the B roads and going the motorway. If the car isn't up for it, you might want to pull over now. It has been a short and entertaining journey with you but I was looking out the window enjoy the scenery at the time. I am out of here now - safe - very safe, driving but try and avoid colliding with other road users here.

1. Please read the company presentations on forecast production figures - no one is expecting block buster gold production - not even great at the moment. Do you understand the production development that is ongoing?
2. Dud stock comment - I suspect that every stock out there with is or has been a dud stock by this definition. What is your point exactly?
3. If you borrow £1M from a Bank you would need substantial collateral to secure it - so yes I am guessing that you would be a millionaire in your scenario.
4. Your 'waiting' comment re production - we all have our risk reward appetite - maybe you need to stick to blue chips or use the services of an IFA if you are looking for more certainty now?
5. Getting non dilutive capital is a huge vote of confidence from a 3 generation family financial empire who have gone over every aspect of Caracal's strategy and ability to deliver. If you think you know better than them, go with your judgement - you should always do that.
6. Start delivering comment - interesting - have you seen what this company and the BoD have achieved in less than 18 months? What did you expect a new company to achieve in that timescale in these hard economic times exactly?
From my personal perspective, Robbie and the team are playing a blinder - and so much more news to come in short order.

Robbie thinks that Caracal will do a few more deals with OCIM in the future - that is a huge statement of intent for further non dilutive funding to achieve their strategic goals in the future.

It's not often you can genuinely say that the share price is still a bargain after a 30% rise - but that is most certainly the case here in my view.

Paul with respect it is the market capitalisation that is the barometer here. Unbelievably low.

Take note:
The BoD have a strategy of non dilutive fund raising to pursue an aggressive but realistic growth strategy. OCIM have independently endorsed Caracal and are putting their money where there confidence lies.
Going forward there will hopefully be a consolidation of this new strategic alliance between Caracal and OCIM creating further deal making opportunities of a similar nature to fund future projects. The non dilutive aspect of the fund raising is to the best of my knowledge a rare beast and one that should capture future investor attention.

Very good commentary Apro - I would add just one thing - the prospect of near term release of drill results described by Robbie as extraordinary. These are transformational times for this fledging company with huge strategic goals and ambitions, lead by a CEO who has now shown himself to be able to raise funds in extraordinary tight market conditions.

As well as the obvious excellent news about the funding, don't underestimate the significance of the source - OCIM - this is a substantial European Group - family owned and very tightly controlled - this would explain the time it is taken to arrange this finance package - they would have gone so far up Caracal's bum in their financial and strategic due diligence, that they would have been able to give the teeth a once over during the same procedure!! This is simply an enormous vote of confidence from an independant and well respected entity into the future viability of Caracal - they might have included the lawyers speak of contingent but don't think for a minute that they would have gone down this road unless they were sure it was going to succeed. The players in the market will know this and I think that it will start to unlock some serious money investors.
I am looking forward to the news flow over the coming weeks - it's going to get better and better in my view. Robbie has been true to his word and I am 100% confident he is going to continue to deliver.

Thinking about it further Legalwolf - if they had an inkling of news to come (and we have all been given far more than an inkling re the funding!) what better way to head off any future claims than sell at the low rather than waiting? Probably not the case but you can create any scenario to fit a theory.

Legalwolf - highly unlikely that they would open themselves to any claim for inside trading - they are listed on AIM and obviously GCAT has a main listing. The regulators would come down on them from a great height if subsequently anything was proven and directors given the highest sanction (banned from holding office) in my view.

For balance, I for one am not and never was expecting good production figures - to apply the often used analogy, hard to change the tyres when the car is in motion! Also I have been expecting a delay in their production data coming out - not to hide anything but I think that the CFO and finance team have recently had huge distractions with the audit and that must have impacted the business as usual work they do.
Looks like Goldplat are continuing to offload this morning - at this rate they will be all out by next week. These shares are transferring into others hands though or we would have seen a drop into the low 0.50's I would have imagined.
This is about to get very very exciting.
