SST. Quite right. The market doesnt believe the company and why should it? Its taken on trust things that have been said in the past only to be disappointed by delays and, shall we say, exaggerations. So now there is no trust and no value will be given to anything unless proven fact.
Most companies do have a bit of 'trust value' in it. By being roughly forward looking by 9 months, most companies will get a credit (or debit) for things happening in next 9 months. Solgold will get nothing until it happens. Just the way it is when you let s/holders down.
As Liberum said, one deal for one of the minor assets can change all that. A deal for one of the bigger ones will catapult it.

Agree CD & DBW. Bhp and NC may complain about the FN deal but they can hardly complain if the assets are farmed out when they have had the right to join the queue for those assets. They would probably like some exclusivity but they don’t have a right to expect that.

I am reminded of GH at the Dec 2019 AGM, when he said (something along the lines of), 'we have no idea what will be there, it could be something or a load of granite, but we would be daft not to try and find out'.

Quady can you please get on the phone to liberum and explain that due to the diverse book, a bid is completely impossible. I would have thought they would have known that had they read all your 5,000 posts on the subject.

Melbourne and others. It was pulled last time as I assume that VanEck objected as they run a tracking ETF. As such they need to be able to buy more shares if there is a capital increase at the same price as the shares are being issued at, otherwise they dont track the index. So either they are happy that any issuance will be small. or they are content that they will be offered shares in any placing to such an extent that they will be able to maintain their correct weighting without any dilution at a discounted price.
This is my logical assumption, not fact. But it makes a lot more sense than some have posted today.

I presume they have now completed discussions with VanEck (who were the obvious candidate for objecting to clause 5 in December) and now have agreed a way forward.
This doesnt in any way mean a rights issue, in fact if anything its the opposite, no rights.
The allowance for 5% is quite modest (hence why VanEck would agree) and would probably be used to raise money for further drilling and general G&A. It could be placed with absolutely anyone, including NC.
So its good news that it gives some greater flexibility to the company and it will allow us to keep the company moving forward.
All I would ask is that if they decide to attach warrants to any placing could they please consider the likes of Coach, Condorlini and myself, who have over 20m shares not just the brokers mates!! Giving it to Beetroot last time was a disgrace, as he sold out whilst telling everyone he was a long term holder.

I would be amazed, and very pleasantly surprised if it got a BBB rating, given the country, the single country asset base, the lack of development skills, the lack of earnings and unproven management. But the world is a strange place with idiots giving gob loads of cash to spacs, who have nothing at all, not even the germ of an idea.....

Red, do you know how Ivanhoe mines debt is rated? And, given your credit knowledge would you have a guess where solgolds would be rated?
I dont know the answer to either question but my guess is that solgold would be a few notches below Ivanhoe. As you go further down the credit quality the debt begins to look and act like equity, as I am sure you know.
