Afternoon speedy. I agree that cu is all about s&d and no obvious manipulation. There is a slight ‘gold hedges copper and vice versa’ so that gives some more balance.
Also MTR also has a sum of the parts, discount to nav, as does sve, going for it. The rest of sve investments are either very early stage or rubbish or deminimus so should be immaterial.
On a percentage basis I am not sure what would bring the best return but if you only invested in what you thought was going to give the best return everybody would only have one investment. Even I am not that bonkers.

Maybe either a) when the price is comfortably above 37p and there is one day before expiration or b) one day before they bid for solgold?

Tymers, with £100k I wouldn’t buy any ggp. Not because I don’t think it’s good value. Of course I do, but I have more than enough by any measurement. But I would buy MTR as I don’t have enough and I need more to put a slightly better balance to my holdings. The opportunity in both companies is broadly the same % wise. I would also like more cu exposure so that reinforces the reasoning.
If I had to increase exposure to the fantastic company that ggp is, I would buy sve which is even better value.

Tymers, the question is a good one, but more relevant to an insto that isn’t invested. I have a lot of shares and don’t need any more. My average is negative due to top slicing, or trading, depending how you view things.
If I wanted to buy more I would buy here which is obviously excellent value. It’s still cheap all the way to previous highs and beyond.
Berenbergs note I think is excellent and shows a good way to value the deposit. So it’s just a question of what unknowns you plug into the calculation. Based on 50m it’s pretty easy to get to 215p using the Regis value, at sometime in the future. Would I pay that, of course not.

Morning zoros. You said ‘accuracy of’, when I think you meant ‘accuracy within’. Small matter, no big deal.

Zoros, re pfs and fs I think you mean ‘within’ the % not ‘of’ the %.
Small thing but otherwise the fs is less accurate than the pfs!

CD. I will politely say most of what you have written is out of date. As you say the initial MRE was 4.2m Au eq. But there are some commentators who think it will be 30-50m au eq. Even one broker is using 12.5 already.
Its 30% not 25%, but it might go to 25% once the 5% is paid for, which will fund all of the development costs. Aussie Au in the ground traded at $850 an oz only a few weeks back. I wonder what Ecuador would trade at? $50?
Anyhow the point is is the comparative speed at which this is being developed, not the relative merits of the SPs. Obviously its easier to go fast on flat desert than hilly vegetation.

Yes I know that but thats not what he means. Plus its a very costly way to trade, to be both long and short and keep both positions open at the same time. And the NETT position is a combination of the two.

Bully, he hasnt taken out a leveraged short position. Firstly its not leveraged and secondly its not a short position, its a sale of his position, part or in full. Secondly if GH cant sell the position without moving the market why on earth would a professional outfit take on his liquidity risk without some large compensation.

FWIW as usual I agree with TMT. He is quite prudently selling down his overly large position. My guess he will stop with somewhere between 25 and 40 million shares left in his holding.

How can someone who owns millions of shares 'short' something? They arent shorting it, they are just selling it. If you were both short and long a million shares you would be neither. You would be square.
Once they have sold everything, the next sale is a short, but I dont think you are suggesting GH has sold everything and is now naked short.

I don’t know whether this is any help to you, but I believe there are a number of reasons why Canaccord were appointed jt broker. Firstly it’s highly likely that SD has a personal relationship with the team at canaccord. Secondly canaccord are the pre eminent mid tier resource broker in Australia atm. Why wouldn’t you want to be with them? Thirdly as I believe that GH is still selling through berg, maybe canaccord have some good insto relationships that could help mop up the selling.
Most of the above is just my opinion, but it does have some facts to back some of it up.
If you really just want to know whether there is an upcoming fund raising, you will have to either wait or put a call in. The answer will be the same. You will have to wait.
