Morning Addicknt. I read the subliminal message as 'so there is no reason to sell your shares now, and no reason for all you institutions not to buy our shares now'. The note about Karl, is barely worthy of a footnote to any other RNS, but another message that one of the last vestiges of the old regime is going.
Solgold remains very odd in what it sees as news worthy of an RNS and news that isnt. Porvenir update for instance. 'Nothing to see here, move along please'.

Morning RK. I just don’t think we have seen sufficient volume in the past month or so to suggest that we have had a lot of insto buying. The placing might have resulted in a few but not significant. But the company may have got the message out there for others to buy when they feel more comfortable. Instos are generally terribly conservative and only will take a risk if they know they can blame someone else for their losses.
Hopefully we are creating catalysts for them to buy. There does seem a better tone to the market but the mining sector is ahead of the PM prices atm, so maybe it’s just a change in sentiment.

Napth, the reason NC lent ggp the 50m was so that there wasn’t a seconds delay in development, waiting for Ggp to raise the money. Everything NC has done wrt havieron has been faster, bigger and better. They need this to be producing ore for the telfer mill ASAP.

TmT, I have the same information as you do (as you know) about what GH holds and has sold. So the last information is that he had 37m, inferring he has sold another 30m. I regard this as excellent news, for the reason that we knew he had been selling and we also surmised that this original position was probably too much for an ordinary individual to hold. If he hadn’t sold, it would mean that there was another large seller out there, and yet we know of no other significant holder who has been selling. The fact that the sp continues to be held down here would suggest to me that GH is still selling, though that’s just a hunch. When the sp is allowed to rise, I might think he has finished. Other large long term holders have continued to buy, though there is evidence that beetroot might have gone again.
I would like to think that GH may want to tweet when he has finished selling, as otherwise people might just think he is selling the lot. I would be surprised if he were to sell everything but not if he kept 25m. Anyhow that all just speculation which this board seems to enjoy.
Given the news just gets better with each announcement, the ‘fair value’ of this sp should keep rising too, so we are cheaper, in value terms, than we were at any time since the fall. Who knows what the right price is, but I am sure when GH has finished we will see a bounce.

FWIW I think GH is still selling. Cant think why anyone else would sell.
The nervousness of some seems inversely proportionate to the number of shares held - and the time held too.

Seagulls, I will give you the benefit of the doubt as you might be a neighbour! Trouble is we have had too many people who fit your description (just over 100 posts, headline negative, spin something mildly positive and then talk up another company).
Sentiment comes and goes and so does newsflow. In the past four months the sentiment (with gold and scally news) turned and there was no other news.
Gold has turned, news is going to be constant for next 6 months and a seller is being worked off. There is so much news available if you look on the GGP and NC websites and the ggphelp site. Over to you. 50k shares is a nice start. Good luck.

I think in your scenario the company would either be awash with cash and so a special divi would be in order, or with all those discoveries it would need a pile of cash to develop them, so a rights issue would be more likely than a divi.

Bunky/Speedy, re divis I totally agree with you and have commented on this fallacy so many times before. If you want a divi just take the 'natural' divi by selling some shares. And Mattyboy, are you missing something, yes you are. On a before tax basis (or no tax basis) a natural divi is the same as the a corporate divi. After tax basis it depends on your tax position....
One other point; do you think that GGP can use the money better than you can? I do and they have done so far.
