There was an interview with Sandeep Biswas, the CEO of NC, in the Australian newspaper over the weekend. Nothing in it suggested that Solgold was on their radar for a bid. In fact he said that M&A was their least preferred way of acquiring metal.
I think they would sell at the right price, but just my opinion.

Afternoon Knocky. I think your thoughts probably mirror many PIs who dont post on here. Its magnified when you calculate what you could have had if you sold it all at the high. But that wouldnt have been possible so park that thought immediately.
I am certainly disappointed but I am equally certainly not frightened or worried. If you are, then I think you have got yourself overexposed.
Maybe your are thinking about the value of your shares and not the opportunity going forward. I try to invest based on the opportunity and not the sp, the p&l or the sum of money. So while the sp has halved this year the opportunity has probably doubled. The high price of 38p was almost certainly too high for what we had found at the time. SPs in smaller companies get overextended on the way up - and on the way down. We had a long time in the 1.5-1.7p range when dear old GH was producing great proactive videos, scratching his head. SD is probably in the same camp now.
In the end it will probably come down to your risk appetite and how you see the risk/reward. I am totally relaxed about GGP and NC and their ability to develop this monster. My concern, if I have one, is the gold price but I have a cast iron guarantee from speedy that he has that sorted!
Dont forget PIs always get bullish at the top and bearish at the bottom.

Ben, I think it was because at the time of the juri jv, scally had already been drilled and so it would have been harder to bring it into the jv. I think GH alluded to this at last years Agm questions and answers.

Morning Sand. The problem I have with a lot of these articles, is that they always want to compare the price to the high of 1980 as if this was the real price. It wasnt. This was when the Hunt brothers were trying to corner the market. Why not take the low price? Thats probably just as wrong. But taking $850 or $50 for silver is quite misleading.

Is anyone worried that the company is paying lip service to the quest to find a new CEO? In reality its two fingers to NC, BHP and CGP and that NM is still effectively the CEO in all but name.
As a member of the nominations committee he just rejects all the applications...
Maybe fanciful but I think any one of us could have found a suitable candidate by now.

One thing though, correct me if I am wrong. This wasnt a one to one call was it, it was a group call that many attended? If I had known that I would probably have got myself an invite too. Then I would know what you know.

Well they either are or they arent. You say they arent and the Chairman says they could be. Given all your years of knowledge and experience, if a Chairman said to me they could be, I am not sure I would decide that they werent. Its always best to err on the side of caution, I think you would agree.
If all the holders with more than 1.5m shares demanded an hour with old trigger I think he might think he had better things to do, so its somewhat disingenuous to think thats an option.
So far you havent said anything to make us insiders and best you keep it that way imo. We can then take it out on the company rather than you the (non) messenger.
Of course you could have said 'sorry lads/lasses I have been made an insider so cant comment any further.'
Or you could have not told anyone that you were having a chat in the first place.
In your desire to be helpful, old trigger has somewhat shafted you, along with the rest of us (again).

RK, my criticism is entirely of the company, not you. I may well have done the same thing as you did, but maybe I would have put the phone down on trigger telling me that I could not publish their answers. Moot point as I wasn’t on the call.
It’s for you to decide whether you are an insider. The smell test used to do it for me and this smells like billingsgate.

Addicknt, I was about to write exactly the same thing. How can you run a company like this? RK, if you cannot reveal any of the answers then you are by definition an insider. Its non public information that you are privvy to and we are not. No company can allow information to be in the hands of the few but not the market.
How the hell can Twigger think that he has solved any of the issues with this call. Its a shambles.
I am seething...

They have done brilliantly well to get an indicated resource out of only 18 holes. They must have decided to go for infill drilling after just a few holes which is a ballsy call. The grade cut off isnt great but is probably economic as an open pit. The copper price is no doubt helping a lot. The other 12 holes will go a long way to deciding how to mine this in conjunction to Alpala.

Evening RK. I am sure that you would be doing this anyhow (or he may be doing it first). Can you clarify whether he is making you an insider. If he isnt, I am hoping that you will share with us what he says. If he is making you an insider, will you take the call?
Maybe you could point out that within the PI community (of which I dont suppose he gives tuppence for) the board of Solgold have become a laughing stock. Their stock exchange announcement dont clarify anything at all. They just muddy the waters. Is that the intention?

Darnit, I think China will be at the back of the queue, given relations between the two countries. Japan though will be looked on very favourably.

Agree Addicknt. No NED should get options as it goes against one of the codes and they aren’t truly independent if they are incentivised through options. But I have seen quite a few companies choose to ignore this.

Absolutely DBW. After many a false dawn I think we are getting to the exciting phase of this company’s life. Whether it’s the end game, who knows but the various players are setting out their points of view in the subtext. I think we are in for a very exciting few months.

Its not odd that a company sounds out major shareholders while ignoring the market and the PIs, but I do think its very odd that they announce thats what they are doing.
I think we are getting close to the end game now, but what that is, I havent a clue.
