Not sure about all the nonsense spoken about scally and Goliath over the weekend. Atm we haven’t found anything approaching commercial there and I would guess that the probability of having a commercial discovery there is sub 10%. It’s not zero of course but at this stage it’s definitely not ‘likely’ either.
If you wanted to have a bit of fun you could of course plug 5% chance of say 10million ozs at each and punch that into the sp calculator but it probably wouldn’t have as much effect as whether hav was worth 100/200 or 300 $ in the ground.

My initial reaction to todays welcome move was that we either found something in Tassie or we sold it. Its too early for other drilling news. Volume is up a bit but not ridiculously so.
My thinking is now that as we went through all the old resistance between 1.90 and 2.10 we have just run out of those sellers who were jobbing it around for 0.1p or so. With sellers out the way, I suppose this will now rise to a higher equilibrium price and I am sure MMs would rather be long than short.
I might buy some more on some news. Its still very cheap imho.

Today RedCloud have issued a note on companies that it thinks will be extinct (taken over) in 2020 and Solgold make the list. They have a value of C$1.50 p/share as a base case. The obvious takeout party is BHP. After the last year, I would probably be content to see it go at that price. A year I might not have been but then that was a year ago. Logon to RedCloud and its all there.

Hi Wayne. I also emailed Eliza today and got a very nice reply in tone. She confirmed that MRE3 is expected imminently. Sadly this is a word that Solgold often use to mean not imminent at all. She did caution me not to expect the same kinds of upgrades between MRE1 and MRE2 as this was mainly concerned with upgrading inferred to indicated. This just confirms what the company had said before.
She also said that the company is attending a conference in Vancouver next week and there ought to be a presentation posted on the website during that meeting.
Its nice to reconnect with the company and have someone I can communicate with.

Hi Paddy. Could you hazard a guess at the size of the surface area of the deposit by using the satellite imagery of the drill sites? Last numbers I used (which were a guess too) was 300m X 400m. Do you think its bigger than that?
I know Timid had done some work in this area too.

A graph that looks like a staircase is much better than one that looks like a lift. So this price action is good, not at all surprising and better for the long term. It wouldnt bother me if it went to low 90s. Back to the 60s/70s wouldnt be good, but as long as the dips keep getting bought than I am entirely relaxed.
As a long term holder I would be more worried if it shot up to (say) 5p, as this isnt my sell level and I would suspect that it would have more chance of reversing than if it went up slowly.

Of course Au in the ground does not move dollar for dollar with the price at the mint, but the percentage move should be much more. If you (say) think au in the ground is worth $50 when the price is $1200, when it gets to $1550 its going to be worth a lot more than $65, as the profitability has much improved.
Otherwise you would say the doubling or trebling of the Au price would only see a similar % move in the price in the ground which is obviously daft.

The rising gold price should have an exponential effect of au price in the ground. Add to that the fact that oz assets trade at a significant premium plus the telfer processing site, makes me think that 47 isn’t the right price. But nor is 300. Happy with my 100-200, till I hear something better.
Of course depends on structural complexity/high grade zone etc etc.

As it’s a game of guess, I will say 2.4350 in three weeks and 3.0650 after RNS. After all I have seen had040!!! :-)
