CD, Sod’s law would say you would be spot on. I haven’t traded this stock very well in the nearly three years I have had it, so when I do sell up, I will let you all know so you can pile in.

A stop loss is effectively a market if touched order. So if the market trades at or lower than your sell stop, the market maker is required to sell at market immediately. So if your 4p sell stop is triggered by the price trading at or below 4p you should get whatever the bid is at that time unless of course the bid is for less than your order. The execution risk remains with you.
The other problem is that they mms hold all the stop orders, they don’t stay with your broker who is watching them carefully for your £5 commission. So mms know where the stops are and will often try and trigger them.

Cos they are too busy collecting them with a bucket and spade Spy. Obvs.

QF. If people don’t need the money for other things they should sell when the risk/reward favours selling rather than holding. I know that’s a bit simplistic but it should come down to that.

Imho, the seeds of last weeks equity raise were sown when Ingo said that $20 of the $150 from FN could be spent on exploration. FN obviously heard that and put NM straight in that it’s purely for the PFS. So then NM was short the money he needed for sg&a and some exploration. So despite saying that although NC and BHP wanted an equity raise, he wouldn’t do one at these prices. Well he was right there, he did them at 17.5% below these prices....
Imho he has a choice. Sell Alpala/cascabel for a good price basis the FN deal and go exploring, or lose the company in it’s entirety for a fraction of its value. If there are ten to fifteen Alpalas out there this would be the most sane thing to do. But he seems so stubborn that he is risking it all. He is one strange bloke.
