Why would a JV to prove up the rest of the resources be a win/win when we would likely have to sign away a chunk of our future potential one way or another? If we are so close to doing deals on Casa and Sturec, also cash generation with the SS plant, why not wait a little and keep the whole of our share of the Zamsort pie for ourselves? I know DB has links to Rio etc. but I hope the interests of Arcm shareholders are being kept foremost while future strategy is being formulated.

I challenge anyone to read back through my posts and say they are all doom and gloom. e.g. I said this s/p would be around 20p sometime next year, but that doesn't fit in with your pathological fixation that I am some kind of deramper, does it? And if you had any confidence at all with this share you wouldn't be bothered about the odd negative comment, indeed you'd take it as an opportunity to buy cheap shares. Only a trader or someone deep underwater would be as jittery as you. The rest of us lths are content to comment as we see fit, whether that be positive or negative and let others also enjoy free speech, though that may just be an alien British concept to you.

IMO any poster who is perenially upbeat about a company's prospects is fine as long as they also accept there are others with a more circumspect outlook. They cross the line when they rudely disrespect others' viewpoint, particularly when personal jibes are thrown in. IMO those posters also clearly have an agenda.

Good question, Beginner3, as that appears to be the source of current market discontent. The last set of results simply don't match up with those trenching results. It would be good to know where the previous trenches were dug and if the results were independently verified.

Westie50, I believe they have 4m tonnes at 0.5%. It's the economy of scale that helps to make it viable. I don't know how much we may end up with or what the grade may be but the expected rise in copper and cobalt prices on the back of the EV revolution will be a most welcome tailwind.

It seems there are one or two operating even at 0.01% (100gms/tonne?) So, unless my maths are out, we should be OK even at sub 0.1%.

Long periods of angst and disappointment interspersed with occasional moments of sublime euphoria which may or may not outweigh the previous pain and torture. :-p

I was hoping we'd fund our own exploration with the profits from the small scale plant or by divesting Casa or Sturec. It would leave more of any potential mega finds at Zamsort in our own hands.

That's it in a nutshell, for months we've been teased with expectations of 1%+ copper plus 0.2%+ cobalt to give 2%+ Cu eq, albeit only within a modest host resource of c.16mts. Now we apparently have grades of less than a third of what was expected, but ore potentially in much greater quantities. As long as it's commercially viable we ought to be better placed than we originally expected.

At last...

NvS seems content with the grades and that it may be more of a 'cobalt + some copper play' than vice versa. OK they aren't in the 2%+ Cu eq category but appear to be sufficient to be deemed commercial, particularly if encountered across a wide area. A case of 'Never mind the quality, feel the width' (for those old enough to remember that sitcom)

"Sentinel's (original) 5mts" That's contained copper not just ore..

NvS said the deposit may end up somewhere in between the original estimate (16mts @ 1% I think?) and Sentinel's (original) 5mts. Let's hope it's nearer the latter, he seems confident enough but we're going to have to hit some thicker zones of richer mineralisation than we have found so far to get there, IMO.
