Now that I'm retired from BT & Openreach (after 44 years of practicing for this moment), I don't see the point of bank-holiday weekends. In fact, I think they should be out-lawed.

I don't see much (actually, anything) to be optimistic about having read that. If there is some sort of positive bounce in the morning (due to Lord knows what), I shall be reducing my holding. Yes, I'll keep most of my shares, since I'm fortunate enough to have invested money I can afford to lose - and I can afford to be patient. But when these words aimed to assure the investor: "This remains a going concern" are repeated so often, I feel any thing but calm/assured.
