Why - is there a problem?

Trump has just announced that he is suspending global tariffs on "none retaliating countries. Dow now up circa 2000 points.

Is it possible someone has managed to bang some sense into his thick skull?

My last post hasn't aged well - buy price is back up to the full 0.85.

You can currently buy for 0.79 - and sell for 0.795.

He said he'd bring inflation down ONE DAY 1. Would you be so kind as to explain to a numb-skull like me, how tariffs serve to bring down inflation.

Also on DAY 1, (in fact - before he was even sworn in), he pledged to end the Ukraine/Russia war. How's that going?

Trump's tariffs make no financial sense and appears to have been drawn up using assumptions (many of which are plain wrong) - he's even placed tariffs on a pair of islands near Antarctica (Heard & McDonald), where no humans exist - but you can imagine how outraged the penguins are!

Meanwhile, you can bet your bottom dollar that Trump and his corrupt coterie, will have shorted the US markets ahead of the tariff details being issued.

Meanwhile, no tariffs have been applied to Belarus, North Korea or - you guessed it, Russia.

sammy, i knew your post was sarcastic - mine was 'tounge-in-cheek' - but i didn't make it particularly obvious (my bad).

as for ticking-up everything positive & human nature etc - i don't do this. for instance, mushky's incessant (and ultimately utterly inaccurate ramping , irritated the **** out of me.
