No way, me too, fellow Cardiffian
Not so much dragging feet :);), Wales and Scotland let the English be the test subjects for any future spikes, opening up various sectors a few weeks after England to see the reaction, smart.
Email to furlough staff, select cinemas will be opening next week (went out this morning)
fish, fish, fish away, no catch here :). You do you boo ;)
won't get a rise out of me sorry sweety ;):) Nice try though :p
I'll remind you of this post when Mulan moves again in the US ;):)
Agree, china is a different prospect and actually did a big Mulan marketing push before Covid.... but alas no cine / regal cinemas there.
Agree M00la worth waiting to see, I think New Mutants will move tomorrow as part of comic con panel and as you know, I have no faith in mulan, with their zero digital presence at the moment.... but these are just absolute guesses.
SumOverHistories - we know from various industry interviews, the classic films that have been released over the last few weeks haven't cut the mustard for them in terms of box office vs cost to operate.
It's very much a wait and see game. Very chicken and egg
Mooky has already said, if the new product moves so will the opening. No point increasing your cost base bringing staff back when the new blockbusters are a current moving target. Good call out on the last dates Kelbelle
Damodubya - you're right on the short notice though, people who work at cine are expecting only 2-3 days notice (off the record chat) before they are recalled to return to work, whenever that happens
....1st July will move in the US. The release dates could shuffle and it could create an opportunity at a lower price.
Depends how much you want to micro-manage your account
Depends what sort of investor you are right.
If in for the long term, you'll be fine.
If in for the short term, it's plausable the reopening date of the 3
Anyone notice that Warner shifted the Conjuring from Sept to June 21, could be to free up the new landing spot for Tenet..... either way, I expect more date announcements in the next week
Keep an eye on the new mutants comic con panel tomorrow, it's expected to move to Disney +... that film is cursed, been trying to come out for years :);)
which bit?
AMC hasn't reacted to the news at all, yet. Will keep an eye
Thanks for sharing the link, staggered release as we thought

Just in case people on the board don't know the details of the clinical trial.
Clinical trials typically have four stages (sometimes 5) super-simplified explanation below
0 - first human tests, 5-10 people
1 - 15 - 30
2 - 1000
3 - 10,000 (tested in three different countries)
Approved
4 - 100,000s (monitoring mainly side effects in the public domain)
At phase 2, patients reported slight swelling in the injection area and a mild fever. There's no way it gets all the way through phase 3 without having a positive outcome. We also got that heads-up last week. I'm very bullish on this.
I added more vaccine hit stocks first thing this morning
touche, don't know why I was thinking the 18th, probably the Japanese 18th September date stuck in my head for some weird reason :);)
Mulan is scheduled to release 3 days after :);):p
Nolan has written about his commitment to the cinema industry and wants to be first. Disney exec said on the otherhand, if he has to move Mulan again he will. Tenet has posters out with the date on, adverts with the date on, sponsorship of events. Absolutely zero Mulan marketing in the last three weeks. Tenet is the one you want to pin your hopes on.
