Remember the SP went down about 5p for the Divi so £1.02 ish down to 96p-97p where we are now.

We should see the £1.05p within the next week or so , then start making progress on better int results with lower debt etc to £1.30p. But with this little debt and high sales and profit we should be £2.

Hi Garonne. I would agree but like many other companies that have announced buy backs , they all seem to want to keep the SP as low as possible to enable them to buy back more shares as cheap as possible.

I think we just have to wait until the buy backs have finished before we see a big jump in SP .

But at the rate they are buying back it could take months.

Yes I guess many are wondering just how low will this go again, £1 so many can buy back in for the long term. me included.

Totally agree, with turnover what £500m and profit about £50m ie 10% just how many other stocks look such a buy / take out. We al know this SP should be £1.50- £2

Yes I must also agree , i guess some directors do earn some of their free / cheap shares. But it does your head in when you have paid a higher price for your shares and the on the lows a director takes full advantage while you / we are under water.

Hopefully the shares will move back up to £1+ mark shortly.

So if Vod can get about £2.5bn for this sale by share sale or deal plus the £4bn from Spain sale total about £6-£7bn it should improve the total position with debt pay down etc.

Labour have almost confirmed they will be putting up CGTax maybe to the same level as income tax, which will mean much higher tax on Divi 's and savings over your allowance and they may even drop your allowance level.

I think that will/could lead to lower share prices etc.

Maybe the time to sell everything and load up ISA's and savings, or just spend it all and enjoy ourselves.

Hi Pogo, I think you will find that the government spend over £400bn on Covid and furlow to support all of us through it,

and for Labour to say the government put up taxes is a bit rich when they supported all this help and support given.

The truth is at some stage this will all have to be paid back, most people know this but don't want to see it happen and Labour are playing on this. Labour will have to put up many things or higher debt which again we will all have to pay back at some stage. NO one wins.

I think it's fair to say Card are a very good cash machine and a business with low stock value compared to other high street businesses and by all accounts sales are looking good.

It is also fair to say they have almost G/Teed an int Divi maybe 1.5p-2p.

I know it's a bind to see the SP down this low and we expected it to fall to maybe 95p-96p ex Divi but we should be back up to £1 shortly. I hope. !!

Hi Narcus, do you know you do talk a load of rubbish and have by the sounds of it no idea what happens.

In time all these shares will be cancelled which in time should push up the shares value to all holders.

Yes it now looks like card factory have the last Clinton stores on the run with more closures to come, our business model seams to be working better and bringing in more profits all round.

If we have completed the sale of the Spanish business ,we should be getting the €4-5bn cash into our bank account this month.will they pay down debt and give a special divi.

This must be very good news,it may mean they have much better cash flow and free cash available which we may see in the next t of results.

Now if that is correct it will / could mean lower debt and share buy backs with SP responding in a very good way. So let's wait and see.
