Looks like the US are cutting profit forecasts in the airline business due to over increased staff levels, increases in overheads and shortage in planes.

Will that be the same in UK and if it is will that have a knock on to OTB.?

As reported in the fin/results, they weren't able to pay a Divi on the intrim results because of the debt / loan arrangements but now that's changed so they have /are paying the full years Divi in one go 4.5p. But now those arrangements have changed and it means they will also now be paying an intrim Divi when it's due. I guess we don't yet know what they will be but based on this years finals I guess between 1.5p- 2p in what about Oct/Nov so we have to look forward to plus a growth in SP. with luck.

If you sell on 30th you will NOT get the Divi, now days trades are instant with your brokers and sell on 30th you no longer hold the shares and that's recorded on the 31st so you won't get the Divi. If you are holding on the 30th you will get the Divi as that's recorded on the 31st. payment in what 20 something in June.

Buy today if you want the Divi.

Yes I was first aiming to sell at £1.07+ before Divi date but since it hasn't managed to make that price I am also now holding and sitting tight for Divi as this will come back up in a few weeks. But it looks like it's gone ex Divi today doesn't it with this drop, but I bet it's back to £1.02-03 by days end.

Sure I will be able to buy back in at 50p soon.

Even with the latest broker up-date of hold and price target of £1.80 it's finding it hard to hold any gains and it keeps falling back, so I think I will still see my £1.30 buy in price soon before it stats going back up.

Well is that 100% fact, the ex date is 30th on Thursday so if the stock opens 8.00am minus the 4.5p say 98p and you sell now days we are trade +1 but your broker has sold your shares say 8.10am and that could mean you no longer hold them and may not get the divi. always such a difficult moment.

Pleas all come forward if you have actually sold on the day and still got the divi. On the other hand you might as well hold them for another few weeks and get both divi and SP increase again to say £1.04 which again normally happens. What I and I guess many try to do is sell a day or so before ex divi day if the shares have already gained more than the divi.

Dave,very clever but BT were £1.07 back on 12 th may before VOD giot to 77p.

i haven't noticed i watch the adverts for the products and acting quality, may be black actors are seen as not as good or more negative in what they do i don't know.

Now a takeover is really possible with a great future ahead and at £1 it must be worth at least £1.70 .

Yes BATS might be safe and with divi, but just look at how much you have to invest first.

I much prefer to spend £10,000 - £15,000 lots on shares for a return of 3p-5p divi at a time. and turn the money over.

Well you can still buy VOD for a divi of about 4p with ex divi 6th june at about 76p-78p SP.

First broker raise for a long time , up to 90p now but just how long will it take to get there.

Yes I noted the difference in share numbers etc, but I was just high-lighting the retail set up and with sales and profits generated for the two businesses and how the city price them.

Card has much smaller lower stock costs with quicker product turnover and bigger profits.

When you look at another retail stock ie shoe zone

, we can see their int result with rev of £76m profit £2.5m SP 172P

Against us fin results rev £510m, profit £62m SP 1-04.

Such a way to go and should be based on results est SP £1.70p min.
