It's a bit like the 80's where all you could do was sit on the sidelines and watch the markets go down day after day, but then they markets were going down 200-400 points a day.
The one bright spot here is that it's all markets and nothing to do with the companies in trouble, so if you now sit tight all will come back in maybe 6-12 months. Just depends on when the Ukraine war ends although trade with Russia will never be the same again and the world will have to learn to live without Russian Oil and Gas.

Yes I have also just topped up another few thou. at some stage 65p-75p will have looked a great buy price and we will be kicking ourselves for not buying more at this price.

I guess anything can now happen, 50p could be too low but 60p might be on the cards.

Unfortunately I think the war has got worse in Ukraine and wouldn't be surprised if most markets are down on Monday with ITV going to 70p.

I hold shares here as well as many others and now down on most but unfortunately the war in Ukraine has got worse and I can only see most markets open down again on Monday.
Who knows where this will be but don'r be surprised to se it near 80p this week.
I know 22,000 shares is a lot to hold but many posters hold many times that so it's going to be difficult for many. Best to not look for a few weeks, unless you are looking to buy more.

For all we know Tom has never held any of these shares and still doesn't , he's only ever slatted ITV because he was going against the trend of everyone else to make him look good, But now all of a sudden he buys some stock in ITV say who but Tom !!!!!
Don't be fooled by anything he says because he just wants posters now to think he knows what he is talking about.
We all know that once ITV gets to a £1 who else but Tom will be on this board again saying he sold everything and made a great profit.
Tom doesn't have any money and never did he lives in a dream world where he needs to be loved by someone, anyone.

Yes I think that when you have been in this game for many years and after you have done your research you go with your gut and sod all the brokers.
Just look at what many were saying about ITV a few months back, there finished and cannot win against the world markets with sales profits all about to drop.
So many posters here all saying the CEO has done a bad job and should go just because the SP has gone down a bit, as if they know any better.
The biggest positive any company could have is where the directors buy shares with their own money, now that's faith.

Come on we all know that many of these brokers try to Influence the price, if they hold and they want to buy back in or bring down their ave they drop the sp targets, but if they already hold at a cheap price they try to push the sp up.
It's all a game, and I am sure many of these brokers buy / sell in their own names. I guess we all know that is probably against the rules but they do it through a number of means so they cannot be caught out.

Barclays cuts ITV to 'equal weight' (overweight) - price target 95 (160) pence
JPMorgan cuts ITV price target to 194 (215) pence - 'overweight'
Credit Suisse cuts ITV price target to 136 (177) pence - 'outperform'
So 75p ish does look very cheap now !!!!

But now it makes sense for a takeover after ITV said they are going to spend big on streaming as a competitor to the us companies.
Now if this is / was planned by the BOD'S isn't that a great move. Maybe £1.50+ offer coming !!!

Sorry but what a lot of garbage you talk, first these were a great set of results headed by Dame Carolyn's with higher slaes profits higher divi and higer costs planned for growth.
You say a bad day to aanounce but the results were in the plan regardless of any action in Ukraine and if they were delayed then the would have been so many saying there must be more problems.
Nexrt planned spend for growth and streaming, well that's just was is needed for any company to go forward and it will return more profit in later years. Can see the SP going back to £1.20+ as soon as it settles down in Ukraine.

buster1, I have been doing this for some 40 years and it never makes any sense. I have been buying and selling these for the last 1-2 years and sold out a few days ago but when I saw the results which I think are great I thought I had missed the boat to buy back in and it would be £1.20 today no trouble. Anyway when I saw 92p-93p I bought back in. It's only a question of time before we hit £1.20 because reality we kick in very soon. But don't be surprised what the markets do none of us have any idea at times.

There maybe some bad news coming out and the city have had a leak about it, and that's why the SP has gone down so much.

Yes it is a bit/ very confusing and maybe even the city don't get it or why else would the sp go down on such good results.
I think the BOD's should put out another RNS just explaining it.

So why is the SP dropping so much.
Is it that with all that's going on I think all the supermarkets and retailers need to look at ways to keep customers going into their stores. Many of the retailers sp's are going down now because of the fear of inflation and drop in general sales. Maybe we could be looking at a much lower sales period on the high streets with lower profits to come..
