Last week, our Cornwall Resources Limited subsidiary Managing Director Dennis Rowland was pleased to attend the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Critical Minerals roundtable in Parliament. The event was hosted by the APPG Chair, Noah Law MP, APPG Secretary Perran Moon MP, and from the House of Lords, Baroness Lindsay Northover. Discussions focused on the upcoming Critical Minerals Strategy, UK funding and barriers to investment, and importantly the local growth benefits of projects – including requirements for skills training, employment opportunities, and effects on supply chains and services. As global demand for responsibly sourced critical minerals continues to grow, this forum provided a valuable opportunity to engage with policy makers and industry experts shaping the UK’s Critical Minerals Strategy. Dennis Rowland provided key insights from #SML’s flagship Redmoor Tungsten-Tin-Copper Project, including its receipt of UKSPF funding and strong support for the project from local stakeholders to demonstrate its potential to support UK supply chains and defence applications. Other speakers represented organisations including Wood Mackenzie, Ionic Technologies, Fasken, DEScycle, Britannia Refined Metals, and Anglo American. We look forward to release of the Government’s Critical Minerals Strategy and contributing to further discussions on how to advance and accelerate UK mining projects.
