Away from the graphene, there are a few whispers going around that a sale of one of their companies is hotting up...and thank goodness, it's not the one in South Korea. Wondering if anyone else has heard this as this maybe currently under the radar because it's not a listed company and just part of the group. These whispers haven't come from anything stock market related...

Having made quite a bit of money out of these last time....admittedly, I could of made more by selling at the top, but I brought back in at 1.5pence a little while ago.
Why??
Because it it plain to see to me that they will sell a few of their assets and get funded for the time needed to turn into a profit making company.
Ok they might not get top dollar for them due to current circumstances, but they don't need top dollar.
This is just my opinion & I can afford to lose the money I have invested.
There is a lot of tripe being posted across the various bulletin boards. I would only suggest you do you own research and not listen to anyone else. And that includes me.
All the best to all other non keyboard warriors 🙏
I'm not so sure about this possible bid nonsense going around. Not seeing any decent buys coming in over these last couple of weeks and it seems to be doing it's usual of share price dropping when results come out, before it starts to increase again. I heard this morning again about 2 companies hoovering around TLY for a possible bid, but I really do think it's rubbish. No activity on the markets suggest I'm wrong....but happy to be proved wrong.
It's still worth way over £1.00 share price, but that is just my thoughts.
In some ways, I hope bids do start to come in. It might wake up the share price to a more realistic value.
I don't think any bid below £1 would be considered, but northwards of this figure may be attractive to some.
I don't know what other people views are but the potential of TLY and the way the management have grown this with their various acquisitions, has a lot more potential than Spire or Smith & Nephew....but confess, my knowledge on these two companies is very little.
All the best to all holders and fence sitters.
Not sure how true this is, but there does seem to be rumours flying around that 2 different interested parties are circling around TLY for a possible bid...and they both know about each other. Could be bull as even Mark Kleinman on Sky gets things wrong sometimes...but it could be an interesting couple of weeks, especially with results due out as well....
Anybody else hearing these rumours?
Not sure if Lance is trying to send a message with these buys, but it would be a far better message to pay back the 900k loan....or even to answer emails from disgruntled shareholders.
Wonder if this is part of their plan to calm shareholders before the AGM??
The board should not be applauded for something that is not in their control.
Profits will increase because of the Iodine price, not because of the management or any decisions they have made. The lack of growth plans have been lacking for years. The lack of information & updates have been lacking for years. The mismanagement of our funds have been going on for years.
They should all be sacked. They will no longer be getting my support.
They don't seem to respond to any of their shareholders dissatisfaction emails with concerns of how the company is being run and the constant lack of updates, and also lack of growth plans....but they manage to find time to grant themselves options.
I am absolutely appalled by this board and they all need to go.
@CaneToad - Many thanks for your comments.
I was never expecting this to be the next Dupont, and I'm pretty certain nobody else is.
Totally agree that this is currently the best position the company has been, but performance & progression have been tirelessly slow & lacking.
No caveats needed in your post. I am already a holder with a very low average, but my patient's are running out with the current board.
I still have no answer from Lance and even Tom isn't replying, although I did ask him the same questions as previously, whilst also putting his previous answers in....nothing back.
Like I have said, my thoughts, they either need to pull out a huge rabbit out the hat, and that doesn't include breaking soil in IO9, (we already knew about this) or they need to go and a more dynamic team need putting in place.
All the best
They have had quite a few last shots from me. Nothing has improved, apart from the debt situation.
Any material increases in figures has absolutely nothing to do with the board. Prices of raw iodine are out of Iofinas control and they should not be applauded for this.
The basic fact of the matter is raw iodine production has continued to slide.
The lack of developing the company continues to be non existent.
The seed fiasco still lays heavy with a lot of shareholders, and so it should.
The continued promises of more regular updates vanishes quickly after they announce it.
Forward looking statements are non existent.
This current board has had all of its chances I feel, for many years, and nothing has changed.
I feel their time is up unless they pull a huge rabbit out of the bag on the next announcement??
Completely agree with your post Ecclescake. I also haven't had a response either. Maybe we all need to vote them out. Their failed promises, over and over again really has become so much of a bore. If it is obvious to us small shareholders that board need a boot up the bottom, surely it must also be obvious with the bigger holders. Sneller for one.
Sad to admit, but maybe Lance and Tom need to go....or Tom needs to get back in the lab and Lance needs to retire.
I'm still rating this a stonking buy, because the price is far to low.
I am finally getting to the point of going over Tom's and writing to Lance. Previous emails from Tom, and broken promises in the RNS's about providing shareholders with regular updates, slow progress on IO9, lack of information on the seed fiasco, continued drops in production, their lack of growth plans, information about the large holders exit.....The list goes on.
I, for one admit that I have been far too patient with the lack of enthusiasm Tom seems to give in video calls, whilst lacking on providing anything about the above lists, and I would seriously urge others to start sending disgruntled emails. This feels that it is being poorly run by somebody that shouldn't be in the position of CEO. Maybe he should be getting back in the lab??
Just some thoughts to get out there.
As I stated on 10th December on this thread, I have pleasure in listening to the recent interviews knowing that 2022 really be the turning point for Versarien, even more so with Diane on board.
Until next time...?????
Moving on from my last post....I purchased another £15k's worth this morning.
For those that are currently really happy with Neill & his team, & happier with the way things are currently progressing, the current share price really is a gift that shouldn't be ignored.
That's my lot....for now.
Have a wonderful Christmas one and all
Jdubya
Totally agree there. The only people that refuse to understand Neill's commitment here are either people that lost out trying to trade it, purchased at the wrong time and blame everyone else rather than looking in the mirror or literally, do not understand the process of growing a multi national company.
It should be pointed out that another thing that encouraged me to purchase more, was the change that seems to be occurring for our upcoming Chairlady.
Without a shadow of any doubt, she has already been making her presence be known within the company, and already been making changes.
It's the first time I have said it or even thought it, but 2022 could certainly be the turning point for all involved in Versarien.
Good luck other long termers and all the best.
