Great news paddy! Do we know if the work for the govt decision was dependent on the heritage clearance to begin or whether this could be perky done in tandem with the other requirements? I assume the latter and if so, we could be seeing that sooner than we think!

Not much to say until we see that the environmental permit is approved - which is well overdue. These guys are literally stood there ready to dig as soon as the permit arrives.....

You can see why our existing big pharma partners are extending deals now rather than down the line, they want in while Avct are still "on the down low". The applications for Affimers seem to have no bounds, which I feel will put this company on the biotech map very quickly given we own the full IP! If people want them (for whatever application you desire it would seem) then you have to pay for them.

Couldn’t agree more bcl......the audacity of him to say deliver projects earlier than planned and generate revenue imminently. Are you joking? Don’t know how stupid he thinks Kibo investors are. Clearly very.....and when Sloane is listed im sure the Kibo holding in it will be diluted to oblivion so we hardly see any material benefit from it anyway. I feel like Kibo is now the “sacrificial” entity to get all the other ventures up and running.
I’ve written this investment off anyway and it’s not of enough value to sell, so maybe in a few years I’ll have made some of those losses back - otherwise it’s only the final 2% to lose given Im 98% down.

I do wonder if at some point we will see the business split into 2 with the diagnostics being bought out by a pharma and the therapeutics being listed (maybe on Nasdaq) as it’s own entity?

Agreed DOH- All the “we need news yesterday” crowd just need to read the inferred info in the RNSs. As is doing his best to tell us what he can! The below says to me, we are happy with the numbers on the LFT test we just need someone to independently verify that before we can tell you what they are.

Dsmith. Whilst I agree this has taken longer than expected and AS didn’t help himself in the early days with the “few weeks” tag lines etc, it has become very clear over the last month or so, as the pandemic has not subsided, the goalposts by the various regulatory bodies and govts have changed. In the fight agains an unknown entity I personally few timelines were bound to slip.
All the people crying out for news now and staring PR is terrible. What more do you want from AVCT than we already have? Apart from a definitive date? Which is ultimately now out of our hands and in the hands of other entities.
You also have to think with this being a worldwide mission for a test that will open the world up again, involving governments, there will no doubt be information That just cannot be shared as we will no doubt be one piece in a very large puzzle!

Well if we were sat on a palladium supply bamps that could be something interesting at $2300oz, 30 times rarer than gold and a huge stockpile of the stuff in Russia keeping the price sky high....little side venture eh :)

Hi TMT. I have posted something previously but can’t find it in my backlog regarding the VALMIN code which provides some independence in the fair market value of a mineral resource. That should go some way to negating the standoff of “price war”. There are also two elements to the valuation, one being valuation of what is known (from an MRE I assume) but also there can be a premium added if agreed between the two parties to factor in future resource upgrades/valuation. As a result I can’t see us being ripped off but agree NCM probably want an MRE earlier as if this turns out to be a monster, the MRE fair value alone goes up and up for NCM.
Someone with a better mining background may have some deeper insights but worth a google.

Tonight is the usual 6 weeks we have been accustomed to stout but I think there was another though that with the 8 weeks to quarterlies they may delay by a week to make that 7 and 7 either side.

I think you're right Sam Snr that it may have been a pre-requisite for a funding deal for them to have skin in the game. They have 3m options each, a 3p rise is only worth 90k to each of them. .....its hardly life changing returns, so just a quick way to make some ££ but participating in the financing deal themselves.
Or the deal is so good and Haneti is going to be massive so they want a few cheeky cheap shares prior to a rocket being put under the SP.

Tell you what this funding facility agreement is so bl**dy complicated. Losing track of the 9000 things we are issuing shares for nowadays!

For something LC is involved in, I must say prefer the option route given the BOD are then incentivised to get the SP up for it to be materially beneficial and put circa 500k into the company between them. Being critical I would probably have liked to see them at higher than 2.6p but you would think his greed would have driven him to maximise value for himself. So being positive for once, I guess they see a SP well above 2.6p over the coming year.

Very reluctantly sold 10% of my holding here as I hit a 5 bag.....heart said don't do it but the head said stick to your risk policy.
Won't be selling another bean here though now given the immense news flow due.

What position are you in to say that there has been no progress? Do you have access to information that nobody else in the market does? Agreed they raised on a spike driven partially by an influx of Covid hope investing. What a shrewd piece of business that was at minimal discount. If it was so overvalued, why would institustional investors buy in at that price? I am going to say a $7bn hedge fund taking a >3% stake will have done their due diligence and aren't invested for a quick 5% return on an overpriced Covid hype.

This value of the core business wasn't there before COVID, so why does covid revalue the core business?
Covid put £48m in the bank which is the key to progressing multiple avenues in mainly the theraputics side that would otherwise have been shelved for a long time.

If you had done any digging outside the Covid area, there is a lot more to this company.

MB - Nobody on AVCT has cited world dominance. It's very clear one company will not be able to provide the quantity of tests that are required globally. There is room for many multiple players. However, after the shambolic start to testing, govts (where the major contracts are going to come from not Heathrow Airport) have significantly increased the hurdles that have to be jumped to be considered. Even in his speech today, only the tests that hit the validation milestones will make it. Hence the confidence from AVCT holders being accepted into the CONDOR programme. Results pending and no certainties but the competition at an advanced stage is fairly slim as it stands.

As for your valuation comments - shows how ill researched you are before coming and bashing the AVCT board. AVCT was never a Covid play. Covid has fortunately provided an opportunity to showcase that our wholly owned affimer platform works and can be applied to so many disease related scenarios in the future. That allowed for a huge placing at only a 4% discount (rare on AIM) and those funds are being used to expand the business and start oncology developments simultaneously to the LFT work. The oncology potential is huge, backed by some of the worlds biggest GLOBAL pharmas expanding their agreements with AVCT where R&D will be funded by them in return for royalty payments.
If you look at any NASDAQ pharma the P/E is huge compared to those UK listed. A good example of what value can be attributed to a good product never mind 2 businesses! There's a lot of backup for AVCT's valuation - I can list you a number of loss making pharma's bought in the billions in the past. It takes one breakthrough......Glad we have the pipeline to increase the chances....risk reward.

What news do you want from AS? Our tests are in the CONDOR programme and the results timeframe for that our out of our hands. The fact it has been accepted is good enough for me until we see the final figures. If you can’t wait for news you’re just impatient or overstretched your investment hoping for a quick buck like all the other “no news” sellers.
There is also Miton selling who have made it clear that is because they have already hit return targets, not because news flow is not regular enough.
Honestly - give it a rest!

Look at all those companies that got initial orders from the govt. They were either swab based antibody tests with low S&S that were part of a failed govt testing system. Or they were recalled for just being sub par.
Think I would rather be in AVCT who are taking the time to make sure this is done properly. Leave no stone unturned to create a best in class test that will lead to huge global govt orders. Not hurrying a test out that is sub standard to keep sharehunter happy about news flow.
FFS the numpties on this board at times.
