Interesting point on the currency impact Sliotar. I would imagine GGP have some form of currency hedging mechanism in place. Maybe not for all but you would anticipate for some of the expenses/revenues......

Mirik - just remember your average and percentage gains are fairly irrelevant really. A 10% gain on £1000 is the same as a 20% gain on £500

We're not bound by any "reporting regularity" in the same way we are with the 6 weekly NCM Hav drill updates. As Scally and all other areas are 100% owned, results will be released as and when they are ready I would assume, which is great, updates can land anytime......

Asaiaka - I am one of LC's biggest critics but I just don't think they can afford another one after the previous 2. The Covid excuse wont stack up anymore and LC will have a multitude of people behind him to push this along, all of whom have much better reputations than his to uphold.
As twogoals said, they have had opportunities to slow the expectations down here recently in media interviews but have been very bullish timelines will be met. I am always cautious when he is involved but I feel this time it might just land "on time". Would be a bit of a PR car crash if not.....not to mention the POG as it stands will have plenty of people wanting this producing ASAP.

Genie - I think everyone would say this has taken longer than initially expected (even Avct themselves). However, the lack of competition would suggest this is not an easy thing to get right.
Couple that with the shambolic start to test and trace, this has to be 100% right second time round. That explains the goal post moving by the regulatory bodies, which includes some form of app to record results (that wasn’t on the cards day one).
Also, just think of the reputational damage to Avct if a shoddy test was rushed out. Don’t forget we aren’t a COViD antigen lft test company, as has been said we wedged ourselves into this market where we saw an opportunity And a process that can take years is being reduced to months. To ruin years of hard work in the oncology space with a duff test would be commercial suicide.
Don’t get me wrong, I want this to be out ASAP for the benefit of the world. However, I want it to also work.....and work well.

Genie - I don’t think you can now look at any stage of this process in isolation. As has been discussed a few times on this board, it is becoming more and more likely the “pregnancy style antigen test” the govt are talking about is Acvts (can’t be 100% of course but I’m 95%). This then takes the process into a wider govt initiative which will be littered with NDAs, media bans etc. Happy to be told otherwise but I think more has been done that we know but the govt has something in place to stop this being announced to the world until all the boxes are ticked

I’m not sure it needs an RNS unless their stake takes them above 3% and we get a TR1.....it would be good PR but no obligation to RNS in my view

When you look back at the non Hav drilling programme RNS, there was plenty for them to be getting their teeth stuck into. If any of those hit gold or any other large mineral deposit - the upside could be monumental. Not to mention if they find any Brucey bonuses in between!

· Once the initial phase of drilling is complete at Scallywag, the Company expects to drill additional high-priority targets on its Paterson Range East and Black Hills licences including Goliath, Los Diablos and Parlay.

I would expect if Al has picked 28th Sept for this Q&A session there is likely to be some news this month, even if it is just BAMS maybe? Otherwise he’s setting himself up for a barrage of the same crappy questions we see on here day in day out asking why the test wasn’t ready months ago.....

According to this very good link that has been posted on here previously. A self administered, saliva, antigen LFT test is only in development by Avacta and the university of Lille......the second of which has appeared very recently but I haven't seen/heard anything about it in the public domain.

When we talk about moving goalposts, I think this was clearly the part Avct were missing from their initial work when the FDA added in the test result reporting piece.
Avct clearly aren’t a tech company, they do the complex medical work, hence the need for additional partners in this whole process. Having BBi as a partner and this tweet now joins the dots for me in a)why it has taken longer than expected and b)removing doubt that we will be meeting all the strict relevant approval milestones!
