If it's Milliband then any residual Labour support will evaporate. Milliband is the polariser and my gut feeling is that he will play into the hands of Reform. Labour is no longer the party of 'the workers'- whoever they may be. It is the party of people who should not be in the country and who are illicitly taking benefits. The 'workers' are strongly turning to Reform even though they may not say so. If Labour stands any chance it has to back Streeting and I suspect most Lab MP's know this

As everyone is on about cars...in my days when I thought them important I had 3 models in succession, which if I had kept them all instead of the co changing every 2 years I would have been a rich man. Every 2 years my business partner would change my white Audi Quattro Turbo for a red one and then a black one. He thought these were safe cars for me as 4 wheel drive and I am a mediocre driver. Someone told me that these cars are now worth £200k each. Cannot imagine anyone being foolish enough to pay that though they were very fast and gripped the road. Now I just have my old Lexus. That is growing up I suppose

Lazy Hare, when I was young a car lasted for years. We used to have those large Morris estate cars with wooden battens. No one seemed to change cars and no one felt in the slightest bit ashamed driving an old car. I like to show off about my Lexus now 16 years old. It has done 90k and I am hoping to get another 90k. I live in C London and I see £200k cars sitting outside my flat rarely used. It offends my Scottish money sense
