GoCpi has, in my opinion, layed out in a bet articulate manner the positives and negatives going forward. What we need to be asking ourselves is this, what if Tech spending doesn't come back?? A very real possibility. And if that's the case, how is S4 going to achieve the historic margins of 20% plus that Sorrell keeps referring to?

This has gone from a growth company to one getting rid of employees and shrinking revenues, they are only protecting margins lately by cutting costs/workforce, we all know there is so much cost cutting a company, country, individual etc etc can

Yes mate, I kept nodding reading your post, that was my very argument, the landscape has changed completely and personally I think AI has been negative for S4. With revenues and margins in big tech at all time highs, why would they have or need to change the model and start paying agencies more again?

Like I said many times, Big Tech wants it all and they are, sadly for people like myself invested here, succeeding!

Great post mate, very informative.

A real danger I see is Big Tech spending never coming back. A theme that has continued for far longer than anticipated. It seems Big Tech just wants it all, the whole pie.

How quickly can S4 diversify? 50% of revenues coming from clients that seem hell bent on keeping as much as they can out of of the pie is risky for S4

I agree. I think all these appearances by Sorrell now might be having the opposite effect. We need a credible and dynamic younger candidate in charge now with Sorrell taking more of an advisory role.

A lot of the malaise here now is lack of credibility

A significant worry for me here and one that hasn't been mentioned is the fact that the market would have got hold of the numbers in advanced and hence the aggressive sell off. This it itself shows the lack of controls that remain here. We have lost 40% in a month. At some point one has to accept that this company is not a decent investment. Very very hard not to throw the towel to be honest.

Having been disappointed time after time, I rather not get too excited, however, imagine if they somehow dumbfound and produce good figures and a good forward outlook, this combined with the .5% US cut, the stock could rocket. God knows that we all need some respite, specially long term holders, the pain has been long and deep.

My average is 93p on 70805 shares! It's very very hard to remain optimistic here when the stock can lose a third of it's value on no news and within 2 weeks. I'm holding no matter what now but I wish I had never heard of S4 in all honesty. This has now dropped for 14 sessions out of 15.

I've also added a few more from 57 downwards to 48, I am perplexed that it has gone this low again but I'm all in for better for worst. Let's hope for a nice recovery, I would be more than thrilled with even the 800mil valuation that SMS said S4 is worth at the lowest end.

I cannot believe we have now lost 30% since hitting 66.5p, that's nearly a third of the value on no news. Any theories anyone?

I agree, who would have thought a couple of weeks ago when it hit 66.5p that this would dip to 49 again? Everyone was so bullish, personally, I have no confidence in this company. SMS comes across very very sharp in every interview but the landscape has changed dramatically and these daily drops of 2-5% for 8-9 consecutive sessions just don't instill the confidence that this is a sound investment, for most and include myself here, it has been catastrophic. You make some very valid points and I categorically remember how vociferous he was about the city and their tactics at manipulating prices. There are indeed similarities.
