From listening in on the Conference call there are JV opportunities from operators in the region available to them through the Maverick relationship. This is the route , at the moment anyway , they would progress. The impression is the Maverick deal, new administration and the additional land mass opportunity is why they would consider JV’s only to drill. I don’t see them moving away from their core gas strategy but who knows now

I spoke to a v helpful house broker. By end June more than 50% of shares will be held in the US and DEC will most likely then have the US as the primary listing . Rusty still values the UK presence but over time will diminish just like the dinosaur the LSE is !!

Peel Hunt, like all the DEC house brokers , always positive with ridiculous SP valuation. Nothing will change 😂.

I’ll take a significant rerate ( if ever possible ) over a dividend increase to break even. The buybacks are just 🐂💩 and imo pointless as never of any size or consistency. Put them to paying down more of the debt.

Hopefully the US drags us up and by 2nd half of the year the LSE will be the secondary listing

Listened in. Usual DEC Corporate speak. Synergies , opportunities , shareholder value , JV’s, Deleverage dividends , buy back , rerate etc etc . The Q and A for more detail all swerved with more Corporate speak.

On paper imo looks transformational deal. Whether the market sees it that way only time will tell

All in all with everything going on I feel the SP has held up well (I’m certain some don’t share my view 😂). Hopefully US stays strong consider US DEC. NONFARM PAYROLLS +256K; EST. +165K

- US economy is hot.

- There is no recession for now.

- Inflation is probable.

- Rate cuts will be slow.
