Anybody new buying in at the lows last year will think this is the best investment ever. 50% Capital gain, great dividend and a business doubling in size with a new growth strategy. And haven’t had to live with shorts preying on the SP creating FUD.

All long term holders would like to do the same but underwater too much. Looks range bound at the moment but hopefully not going south 👍

Today is the reality the rest is hypothetical wishful thinking.

Nobody buys shares to lose money but sadly they can do hence the risk of investing and the financial warnings. The only safe bet is leave it in the bank or a miserable savings rate .

We’ll agree to disagree on this one. Personally I believe we’re in a better stronger position than we were.

I know this will be hard but let’s be thankful that strategically Rusty got some things right to take advantage of the Trump bump.

- Dual listing away from the stagnating LSE

- US market opened up a huge new investor market who get the business.

- Killed off the shorts and the high Dividend/ARO 🐂💩

- Maverick acquisition creates new direction for many more added value opportunities hopefully to grow revenue, reduce debt and increase buy backs and who knows increased/special dividend.

It’s been so painful for all us long term holders but now light at the end of the tunnel.

Well Rusty has changed direction with this deal and needed it to gain the land mass scale and expertise to drill for oil and gas . Hopefully they will be able to keep replenishing production and more rather than acquisitions. Now that really should get the SP moving in the future as cash pours in reducing debt and hopefully sizeable buy backs . Who knows even a special divi 😂🎉

Terry. We know. You really don’t have to keep repeating it time and time again. It honestly achieves nothing . Us long term holders know the miserable story of the SP.

Let’s try and be constructive about getting our paper losses back. Thankfully there has been a significant recovery ( I know I know thanks to the Trump effect ) but no shares keep rising all the time. Profits get taken and markets consolidate. Nobody can tell what would have happened to the SP if there had been no acquisitions, no move to the NYSE, stuck on the LSE, high dividends , no buy backs , reducing revenues, shorts remained during a period of low gas prices. Not certain the SP would have recovered.

Let’s just stay positive and hopefully benefit from a transformational acquisition 😂👍

I spoke to one of my contacts in a house broker.

Drilling for gas and oil is the plan to take advantage of the land mass so yes a new direction. The deal and direction going down v well with Investors. Any rerate likely to be gradual once the deal completed and financials become clear. The deal is most definitely on 💯.

Sorry to disappoint you they didn’t acquire by all cash or if any ? They utilised an existing revolving offset credit facility used for cash flow.

I confirmed that with the Broker as in the RNS stated Purchase price of ~$45 million, to be fully funded through cash on hand and current liquidity. It reads as if all cash but wanted to understand what current liquidity meant.

This was the Reuter’s August article and it would be nice to think the market has seen the significant value and more long term in the deal. IMO DEC are the only player acquiring these types of assets so they can be very choosy who, where , what and price they pay. Again on the conference call they emphasised they get many offers cross their table but decline the majority as too expensive. They are starting to get the scale and credibility to keep negotiating value deals and be in a strong position to renegotiate their debt interest lower with the banks and capital markets.
