That was a rollercoaster day. Up 20% at one point, then finish 1% up...

I bought few more at sub 10p this morning as well (sadly not the £25k trade). Seems crazy the drop over the past few days based on nothing - I don't know if people expected something amazing from the results or what, but I don't see any worse prospects for the company than over the last few months

I think the issue is not being able to create CF dots, but being able to mass produce them. I think that is where the value lies in nanoco IP and why Samsung are 'borrowing' from NANO rather than using nanosys.

No use being able to make CF dots of you can only make 10 dots a day! (Made up number)

Good write up enteleon, however for point 2 surely you can only apply to voluntarily dismiss one (or more) of your own claims. If nano was asking for the counterclaim to be thrown out, it would just be a request for dismissal wouldn't it?

I think it's just asking for more time to submit our reply to samsungs counter-claim, rather than asking for the hearing to be put back. Not sure if the 27th hearing will just be taking into account nano's claim and samsungs defence, or whether samsungs counter will be considered in the same hearing?!

If it goes below 10p again I'll be buying some more!

They certainly do. Some of them have experience in smartphones and semiconductors, so could well have dealt with samsung before.

Seems to me that Samsung are a bit rattled if they're hiring new expert lawyers. Surely their in house lawyers are pretty good? Unless they're just after some local expertise

Hopefully if they keep doing it to US companies, the US government will step in and punish Samsung. I'm not sure what they could do though? Extra taxes? Stop them selling in the US?

I see morningstar have downgraded the trust to silver due to the 'high fees' when the cost of debt is taken into account along with the management fee... even with the cost of debt, the fee is 0.77%. Still a heck of a lot cheaper than most trusts which often have management fees the wrong side of 1%

They put a message on the website asking for their customers patience while they get the re-branding right across everything. So they will get the actual devices saying mylo eventually.

Here's the rules. It looks like next steps could be any of:
- asking the court to strike an defense that is insufficient. (12.f)
- Parties can also ask for a more definite statement if the defence or accusations are too vague. Either we could do that if samsungs defence is rubbish, or samsung could do it to waste time (12.e)
- A party can also move for a judgement on the pleadings. Which I guess is asking the judge to decide the case on what has been presented already? (12.C)
- Or 12.i, a hearing before trial can take place if samsung claim any of the defences in 12.b. such as improper venue or lack of juristiction.

There looks to be a lot of time wasting clauses in there that samsung could use. Depends how strict Mr judge is feeling I suppose.

The judge can allow or disallow any of the above by the looks of it. And out whatever time limits he wants on things (with a min 21 days for replies etc)

That's what I was thinking basscadet (That Samsung wouldn't have to pay for future use due to the patents running out soon - all the more important that we get as much money out of Samsung as possible now. )

Hopefully we have more patents that cover future manufacturing processes or uses of QD's - although I don't really have much of a clue of our IP portfolio
