Thanks for that Hamlitonion. I was looking on the plc website, which explains why I couldnt find the covid test! Good to see its available and cheaper than Thriva.

Regarding the genome store , it sounds like theyre planning on launching various genetic tests eg a male fertility DNA test or a female fertility DNA test to see if there are any genetic reasons why people may not be able to conceive. Not sure if theres anything like that out there already, but it complement MYLO well.

Apparently they're using the 'yourgene' covid test. Not sure where MHC fit into it to be honest. It doesnt sound like its our test. Are we just a distibutor or what?

Indeed. This needs to happen before Christmas. That will be a big market/opportunity for private tests

I see that Thriva have just launched their at home covid swab PCR test for £119. Dont know how ours compares price wise, but i hope we get a shift on with it (i dont think ours is available yet...)

Thanks laallee. I suppose this and other IPOs also reduce the amount (%) of unlisted stock SMT owns, giving it a bit more freedom to make other unlisted purchases now (although I think they were under the 30% cap anyway for private equity).

Daft question, but when a company in the SMT portfolio IPOs, do SMT sell all or some of their stake in it? Or do they just get converted to publicaly tradeable shares?

To be fair, the name of the stock sometimes isn't even known by the consumers. E.g. how many average folk know that Alphabet is Google. Or that Associated British Foods is Primark?

As long as the product names are strong, that's the main thing.

Both of my small cap companies (this and NANO) have hopped on the covid bandwagon recently, hopefully not too late.

The name change and newly purchased company indicates a possible move away from the pregnancy field into a more general healthcare company. This move away from one niche field could bring about a big future for the share.

Just wish I'd bought more at 0.9p as I was going to!

So Samsung have asked for the trial to be stopped so they can review the patents. It doesn't look like this has been approved by the judge yet though.

I certainly won't be surprised if it hits £12 in the next few months. In one day it would be a heck of a jump though :)

It does seem to me like this project will come too late for covid. I think in 18 months C19 will be a minor problem/bad memory with the vaccination rollout coming.

As others have said though, this could turn into contracts for supplying other, similar test kits (or licensing the tech out) though.

Good that the government have seen some potential in NANO technology and are willing to throw a bit of money at it (if only we were making PPE eh?!)

Bit worrying that the genetics company only looks like it started up in November 2019. It hasn't had time to get started and were already paying 300k for it... I imagine that well launch some kind of genetic pregnancy test. Could be interesting. I don't know of any DNA test focussed on pregnancy

Got a bit of a shock when I logged into my fidelity account to see SMT at over 12 pounds a share. Sadly seems to be a glitch on their system!
