I love the smell of RNS in the morning (or in the afternoon if you're MHC). Good news about the link up with boots - people are a lot more likely to trust and buy from boots website than they are from myhealthchecked website. People like buying from names they recognise.

I thinks it's 'everyone in the country to be offered twice weekly testing' rather than 'everyone in the country to be tested'. I imagine the actual uptake will be a lot lower. Plus as far as I'm aware, MHC has nothing to do with lateral flow rapid tests which will be used for this twice weekly testing. Although i suppose those who test positive on the lateral flow tests will/may then get tested with a conventional PCR test, which could involve us.

The test NANO are working on is a modified rapid lateral flow test. They attach QD's to the antibody which is attached to the rapid test plate. When the person's cheek swab sample (plus diluent) is put on the plate, if the virus antigen is there, it sticks to the antibody and causes a colour change. This process works the same without QD's. They just obviosuly think that adding QD's will enhance the colour reaction and therefore give a more sensitive test.

The 'visual' bit just refers to seeing the change in colour on the test, which gives a coloured line (similar to a pregnancy test)

BT in the webcast said they'd already proved the concept (that the QD antibodies reacted in the presence of covid antigens). They still need to try and incorporate it into a test, which they will have to partner with a rapid lateral flow test manufacturer for (someone like adingdon health I guess).

There is no global court and countries don't really care what judges in other countries say.
As botbot said, the texas courts are notorious for being friendly to patent holders.

Nano can choose where to sue Samsung. Samsung make a lot more money from QD tv's in the US, therefore it makes sense to sue Samsung there (first) in a court that has jurisdiction over one of Samsung's biggest markets.

We only floated as concepta in 2016 at 7p. Not sure why google thinks we were a £3b company :D

I was here for the technology in the mylotus device. Thats not done great in terms of sales though. Now that Penny is in as CEO, the future seems brighter - more tests coming on line soon and a clear roadmap for what they're going to do. The recent presentation by Penny would be worth a watch on youtube if you want more info.

Not really to do with Nano, but I found it interesting. I was reading about Quantum Materials Corp who produce cad free quantum dots. I was looking into QD use in covid tests. QMC have a subsidiary company called QMC healthID who are working on that currently and have partnered with innova to put the QDs in rapid tests. Not sure whether these are actually in use yet or not.

A quote from QMC:
"Our proprietary continuous flow process for manufacturing these hard to produce nanomaterials has afforded us the luxury of rapid discovery and optimization of their performance properties. It is one thing to produce quantum dots with extraordinary optical performance. It is quite another to be able to do so consistently in large volumes with absolute repeatability, as we are now."

After looking into it further, it sounds like they still use the hot injection method (rather than our seeding process), but have found a way to use it to manufacture in bulk.

I think the shorter notice period was for the companies benefit. I.e. in case they want to do the same as they did last year and put him on notice to potentially save money.

Got to be a good sign that his termination was cancelled. Means the worst hasn't come to pass and the company are confident they can pay his salary going forwards (from litigation or new contracts)
