ISB - I would hazard a firm opinion that fully autonomous Level 5 will not be available for 30 to 40 years ....the infrastructure is not in place. In addition, the fully autonomous path that all OEMs were seeking for is the "Holy Grail"....unfortunately Disruptors like Tesla wanted to circumvent the Darwin's theory of evolution and go to fully autonomous without going through the intervening steps. Tesla's product called "Autopilot" is not autopilot. It is blatant misrepresentation of its true underlying feature .......even in aviation there are pilots to manage the plane in an emergency ....and as you say ....drivers have been involved in accidents resulting in deaths ......

ST - brilliant explanation of CAPM - blimey i still remember that from my ACCA exams. But to put it in plain and simple language - hats off to you.

Great interview, very open and transparent

a few bits I noted

1) Auto,
- no change , developing programmes , working on RFI & RFQ
- "2 marquee vehicle launches this year, from July"

2) Fleet
- Customers are in fuel and consumer goods so actually too busy for installs
- "in first 2 weeks of May, reasonably sharp increase"

3) Aviation
- finalising RFQ in that space
- military customers not just civils
- "its a slow game but the rewards will be very significant "

4) Restructure
- combining the leadership of Auto and Aviation
- Fleet and Auto / Aviation will have full P&L accountability
- mentioned Nick DF and Dr Mike as the leaders

oh and the best bit a direct quote "we are set up for profitable growth much sooner than we would have been"
