Received a notification from my broker: MONITISE PLC - Important Information Recommended Cash Acquisition by Fiserv UK Limited. 2.9 pence for each Monitise plc Ordinary share held. On 13th June 2017, the boards of Monitise and Fiserv Inc announced that they had reached an agreement on the terms of a Recommended Cash Offer through which Fiserv UK Limited, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiserv, will acquire the entire share capital of Monitise. The Acquisition will be effected by way of a Court-Sanctioned Scheme of Arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006. It is one thing to say and another to turn that into an action (whether positive or negative) that provides an outcome. .....only time will tell if SIS's outcomes meets the needs of those invested in or it falls by the wayside. For those who are invested, there is hope/ belief that in this company it has superior lines of products and potential to maximise its offerings and generate a decent return from its chosen market (s). Maybe the learning experience of PXS has reformed the character and there are additional "checks and balances" in corporate governance to prevent another PXS....maybe a leopard doesn't change its spots......again only time will tell.
