They are possibly assuming $100 oil, and even then they are too optimistic.
Agree they know the company better, however they have to be overly positive don't they ?
How has their forecasting been thus far guys ?

I am not going to give you any fine details of my research and calculations. I have given you my method, now dont be a Lazy sod and do the numbers yourself ! You will only come up with silly reasoning to try to demise my numbers.
As you are a little slow I will give you my method again.
First work out NAV as of now . Then calculate a future P&L including FCF for the next 12 months (for 2021 and 2022) . You have the company production guidance You forecast POO. You have some hedging data . You have all you news to work it out ! Don't be lazy, you do it !
You will see that my 2 billion is fair based on the current NAV.
Time will prove me right, Rookie - by name and Rookie by nature !

Agree with you and the red baron. I think we can all agree that the demand for oil in the next few years will actually go up before it begins to fall .
That we all agree on !
The question is where is best to put your money to maximise the gains ?
You need an oil company able to maximise profits and fcf from their revenue. You need an oil company to smash down debt finally you need an oil company to return cash to investors (dividends).
I pose the question - is TLW the best placed to do this ? IF you think so, then great.
Or is there another company better placed to do this and maximise your rewards ?
That's the dilemma, for us all in investing in oil.

Watching paint dry is very relaxing !
You sit comfortably with a nice glass of wine in your hand , stress free. It dries slowly giving you plenty of time to enjoy life, then eventually you have a nice big profit.
You keep your IN then OUT , full of stress worrying and crying when you get it wrong.
My advice to you is PICK A WINNER then lay back and wait for the PAY DAY.

You need some brains and a little luck to become PM. However like all humans he makes mistakes.

The last climate change report was used as toilet paper by most Nations.
Poor Nations are struggling to feed,educate and give some sort of healthcare to their population.
Money for climate change is well down the list.
Then we have the big world leaders like China and the US. China is not ready to act and the US is in denial.
Only a few European Nations are doing anything worthwhile. I would guess that this report will also go on the toilet roll too .
Come back in 2031 When China may show some interest. Sadly this is one of those situations where we ALL have to cut our grass for the street to look nice.

The Chinese vaccine does work. It is the main vaccine used in Morocco and has stopped mass deaths in the over 50's. Around 60% of adult population been vaccinated.
China can easily ramp up vaccination across rural areas and prob are doing right now.
India seems to be over the worst . Autumn POO will be on a roll !

A Temp rise to $125 would give us a nice £3 exit, as you say. Then back to normal for us to spend our money. Sounds like a plan to me.
I would even buy Gkb47 a quarter pounder with cheese at McDonalds. I have a feeling he likes cheese !

I think we are in the last wave of fear due to coronavirus. I have been in Tangier, Morocco for the last few weeks and the Delta varriant is running wild across the country and continant. We have even all caught it. Made the kids suffer with headache and fever for a few days. I was mostly unaffected due to being vaccinated. The authorities here are basically carrying on as normal. 45 deaths per day nationally.
This Delta variant will burn itself out eventually here and throughout the world.
The world is becoming full of the vaccinated and the young who have had it, and have their own inbuilt immunity to it ! For example my 3 kids have had both the Kent varrient and the Delta varrient. Their immune system is now ready and able to handle any further varriations. My understanding is that future varriations become and learn to spread easier but become weaker with time.
As for $80 POO I think we will still see it, but more like Sept/Oct time, when Delta truly has subsided.
