The buyback and share price don`t equate.They have information we don`t and clearly have no control over panic selling and the herd mentality.
The BoD have a long term view and have access to the potential on their side, traders, speculators and short term investors have not these benefits.
Turbulence in the SP means little to the medium to long term objective.
Silly as this may seem plenty will see this now as a take over target and who knows they may well be correct.

It had to be done sometime and better now than later.To expand at such a rate made this inevitable as a decrease in intangible items expected sometime.
Then to move resources to the most profit margin areas imo falls into the category of, return on investment and time,you want the biggest bang for your dollar.Put another way an owner of 20 buy-to-lets should look at his portfolio and regularly drop the 2 or 3 worst percentage performers even if they are still profitable.This frees capital and time for more gainful pursuits.Initial losses through this procedure incurs costs,drops in profit etc., but are one offs and is called running a tight ship. What you end up with is a higher return on monies invested and a cleaner meaner outfit going forward.
Poorly run Companies usually leave this until real bad times occur and this precipitates a crash.To do when things are going good takes courage and foresight.
