This is what happens when bored posters try to be smart/clever/relevant by saying to random posters on the WOOD discussion board (with zero investment qualifications) 'What else can I invest in?'...

A fool and his/her money will soon part ways.

Last time I checked this was the Wood board. Looks like certain posters are using this board to 'talk up or down' other stocks. Poor form.

Completely irrelevant to Wood.

May as well use this Wood discussion board to talk about politics, or sports, or illegal immigration...or whether or not man landed on the moon...

I hate to break it to you, but we are all random posters. No one would recognise anyone else here even if they bumped into them on the street. Well, maybe Icecool would be wearing an icebucket on his head...maybe 'Bearded dragon' would have a long black beard with a bearded dragon repite on his should...maybe Carrot13 has 13 Carrots sticking out of his nose, ears...maybe broom tree walks down the street carrying a small tree under one arm and a broom under the other...maybe....

Er, I hate to break it to you Carrot I think you have lost the plot. I too have been saying the same thing as Yorkshire said. I too rely on Wood's RNS that says the Wood BOD are 'minded to accept' Sidara's offer of 35p plus $450 million cash injection; Wood is working with Sidara to agree Sidara's terms; and, Wood and Sidara are working with WOOD's lenders.

@Carrot. I do not the rationale of your 'points'. The very high probability of Wood accepting an offer of 35p minimum from Sidara (or another bidder) is the reason I remain invested. If an offer of 35p or more is accepted and recommended by the Wood BOD and voted in favour of by the Wood shareholders, then I stand to make a very nice profit. If not, so what, it's only money. If you ahve read Wood like a book...why did you go short, and then do a flip and go long....and then close out altogether and not satay as a short or a long during suspension to benefit from your skills of 'reading Wood like a book'...and make tonnes of profit after suspension? imho

I suggest you re-read Wood's own RNS. Then re-read it again, and again, and again until it sinks in...

I could go on but what is the point...neither of you are invested. I doubt you have more than a few thousand to 'invest' at the most. You both want to see Wood fail and all Wood's shareholders with it.

@Dazpink I don't think Sidara will want to come back in 6 months. In my view the only reason Sidara has not offered already formally is due to Wood's own poor series of RNS releases. Everything is for sale for the right price.

@Boxter Sidara will not offer less than 35p. It will be rejected by the Wood BOD who are clearly 'minded to accept' 35p. This will be the minimum offer. Of course, IF another bidder comes to play, then 35p will be kicked out of the ball park.

I do not rule out a Wood recovery either. The fact is that Wood's order book and revenues are string and on the increase.

I think Sidara's offer of 35 represents the 'here and now' due to a series of Wood self-goals.

To be clear, Sidara's offer DOES NOT represent Wood's future growth prospects, which are clearly obvious to one and all.

This alone ought to mean that Sidara ups it's offer to a more reasonable amount. Or Sidara risks another bidder who enters the field in order to benefit from Wood's future growth, which in turn would up the offer to a more reasonable amount.
