@Sham Given Sidara is still at the table and clearly wants to buy Wood for the bargain of the century, there is no reason for Wood investors to be concerned at all. Only shorts need to be concerned - sweet dreams. Lol

'The Board of Wood has received a holistic non-binding conditional proposal from Sidara, comprising:

a possible offer of 35 pence per Wood share in cash to acquire the entire issued and to be issued share capital of the Company (the “Possible Offer”);

a possible capital injection of $450 million from Sidara to Wood; and

Wood seeking an extension of, and certain other amendments to, its existing committed debt facilities.

Sidara has confirmed that it has made significant progress with its due diligence on Wood, including in relation to its review of the points raised in the independent review commissioned by Wood.

Work continues on a range of alternative refinancing options to provide the Company with an appropriate and sustainable long-term capital structure. Having carefully considered the viability of these options together with its financial advisers, the Board of Wood currently believes that the Possible Offer represents the better option for Wood’s shareholders, creditors and other stakeholders.

Accordingly, the Board of Wood has indicated to Sidara that, should a firm offer for Wood under Rule 2.7 of the Code for Wood on the terms of the Possible Offer, it would be minded to recommend such an offer to Wood’s shareholders, subject to agreement of the full terms and conditions.'

Clearly you are not up to date with current events: Wood are signing decent contracts at pace and at good margins. Sidara has already decided equity value and made a preliminary offer of: 35p per share cash for Wood shareholders, plus $450M cash for Wood. Do try to keep up old chap. Lol

Wood's recent run of contracts are no surpirse to me. On 13 May I posted:

'At the moment I would say that the contract margins in the oil and gas industry are healthy overall. The reason I mention this is that over the past week I have been in discussions with one of my corporate clients who provides services to certain companies that operate in the middle east and at the moment activity is strong there. In fact, he used one of my favourite phrases: 'It is almost a license to print money'. The next 12 months looks very bright indeed for Wood, whether it remains independent or is bought by Sidara or another bidder.'

The fact is that my Wood average is in the very low 20s. Hardly surprising given that the Wood share price was suspended at 18p!

Thanks for the 'education' but I am fully aware of the order of events, including the accounts.

I said: 'The word on the street is that there is another Wood buyer on the horizon...time will tell if this is indeed true'. I do not care if you believe me or not, I myself do not know if it is 100% true, which is why I said time will tell. Obviously.

@AimMaster I don't know how you can think anyone 'lured' anyone else into or out of this stock. This is a random Wood discussion board, with pretty much the same nonymous posters week in and week out. If as an investor, you take financial advice from posters called AimMaster, IceCool, BeardedDragon, Carrot13, Rock, Dogger69, Banburyboy and countless others with weird and wonderful names...then you have rocks in your head imho

Personally, I follow the money and with an average buy price of very low 20s, I am very comfortable with my investment here. Suspension or no suspension, it does not bother me. I know a route to profit when I see it.

AimMaster, you continue to spread unfounded fear and doubt at every turn, despite the fact that Sidara is at the table (even though you predicted they would walk away at the last RNS). Therefore, based on your statement of 'luring others' in...if you are wrong and in fact Sidara does buy Wood for a minimum of 35p per share...then that means you are guilty of 'luring others' from investing in Wood at circa 18p-22p and therefore making serious profits here imho

@AimMaster Sidara will not be interested in the 'comings and goings' of Wood's BOD in any way, shape or form. Sidara is a privately owned company. When Sidara buys Wood it will have no need/requirement for Wood's BOD. Don't be such a 'worrier' over a stock that you are not invested in imho Lol
