RE: Pentland20 Apr 2026 00:12
@Carrot13 I have never promoted another stock on this or any other LSE discussion board. Personally I think that is bad form.
When I stated the fact that I sold my JD Sports take at .7764 - .7765 on 16 April, after I had bought in at 66-67p on 30 March. In the same post, I stated: 'My concern is that the US is talking up it's blockade and refusal to rule out a ceasefire should the US-Iran talks fail to reach a peace agreement. It looks to me like there could be more trouble ahead, so I have decided not to hold as we head into the weekend. If the peace talks are successful - fab and I am happy enough with my profit banked. If not, then there will be another lower entry point to invest in JD Sports when the dust settles.'
I was ridiculed for my post.
However, it looks like my 'hunch' that there will be trouble ahead with the US-Iran situation has developed into a fact.
I am glad I am out, as JD Sports stock price along with many others will fall badly on Monday as investors run for the hills once more.
No doubt other investors who sold when I did (prior to the weekend) will be pleased with their decision. Other investors have their head buried in the sand, and probably remain entrenched in ther hold position through thick and thin in the hope that JD Sports rises no matter what worldwide events occur. Each to their own.
I will reinvest in JD SPorts when the time is right. However, I doubt I will post here again as certain posters here are obviously deep under water in JD Sports, hence their venom directed at me and my posts. These posters prefer to 'play the man' rather than the ball.
For those genuine JD Sports posters/readers who prefer to read comments from all posters with a balanced viewpoint on current events and investments, and appreciate a wide varierty of views/opnions on which way stocks may travel, I wish you well.
To those posters/readers who attack the man and not the ball, simply because they choose to post their buys/sells and reasons for such, perhaps you should examine your motives for such.
