With JD Sports annual results and first quarter update due on 7 May, I anticipate that these results will be stable/resilient overall, with an uptick in US sales in the first quarter. In the current economic and retail cycle, 'stable' is very positve indeed. Therefore, I expect the results and update will be in line with market expectations. The current Chair remains until the AGM in July, so business as usual at JD Sports.

Update: JD Sports now up 1.54 so far today to 71.06p.

@ConradOnePost Agreed. The Mobico leadership team is strong. However, there are headwinds for Mobico to navigate through yet. Also let's hope the wars in the middle east end soon! Hence the bumpy ride in Mobico's share price over the immediate future until these factors play out. IMO

@Rats1066 Definately not a plug for JD Sports or anththing else for that matter. He should have run for politics rather than take the law into his own hands. The would-be loser of an assassin was unable to evade security, let alone assassinate anyone. Now he will do life behind bars. The wannabe assassin was a teacher - who is supposed to share ideas, use critical thinking and analysis, and show tolerance towards others. @Rats1066 Funny how when I make predictions on which way the stocks travel in terms of increase and decrease, I am seldom incorrect. Yet, every time I am right, it is 'coincicence'. When - in the few times - I am wrong, I have no cluse whatsoever. You know the old saying, 'You can please some people some of the time, however you can't please all people all the time!'. Here is a top tip: Invest in JD Sports early AM Monday and enjoy the rise up towards the JD Sports results in less tha 2 weeks time. Remember that the US sales are up, so should bode well overall.

Trump has decided not to send his envoy for US-Iran negotiations. Steady as she goes in terms of Mobico's share price at this point in time i.e 24-26p range. IMO

Trump has stopped negotiations in their tracks. However, with no US-Iran war escalation in the works, the broader stock market should increase slightly on Monday after the more or less general sell off mid-late last week. JD Sports ought to rise on Monday from the current lows in the lead-up to its results in less than 2 weeks time.

Lets' hope you are right re US-Iran war to end 'amicably' in the coming weeks. As for the rest of your post, arguably the time to buy was at circa .175p, not the current .26p! Mobico still has issues to those who have carried out their due diligence, so not all plain sailing. IMO & DYOR

Word on the street is that certain JD Sports shorts (aka fleas on cardigans) have started to close their position as of 12 noon this afternoon. This looks favourable for JD Sports investors - especially when combined with next week's inevitable upswing in JD Sports share price in the leadup to their annual results in less than 2 weeks i.e. only 9 business days on 7 May. With the JD Sports share price close to 12-60 month lows, now looks like a short 'window of opportunity' for new investors to buy in at a cheap price, and for current investors to add and average down prior to results. IMO

I called the low at .6909p today. JD Sports is oversold on the news of the Chair departure. As of now, JD Sports has started its climb back and is currently on .7013p.

When further news comes on JD Sports over the weekend, the Chair departure will be 'much ado about nothing'. Therefore the JD Sports share price will rise from the ashes once more AM Monday. Of course, early birds will catch the rise from this afternoon. IMO & DYOR
