Even if the war/s end i.e. Ukraine-Russia war and/or Israel-Hamas war. Defence spending by most advanced nations (especially certain nations in Europe) must climb as percentage of GDP.

EG. In the UK, defense spending in the 1950s was 7% of GDP, in 2023 it was 2.3% of GDP (USD$75 billion). In 2023, Germany was 1.5% of GDP (USD$67 billion) and France was 2.1% of GDP (USD$61 billion). Whereas in 2023, China is USD$296 billion and Russia is USD$109 billion. Is it any wnonder that the US - who in 2023 spent USD$916 billion (3.4% of GDP) wants Europe (lead by the UK, Germany and France) to raise its game in defense spending.

BAE is well positioned to win further business/contracts on the back of Starmer's recent trip to Germany to announce the 'closer relations between the UK and Germany' - as this clearly means closer defense ties between the UK and Germany.

CH wants to be absolutely sure that these tests are 100% proven and accurate. Investors and partners need to be convinced based on undeniable, clear and concise facts before they commit to Zephyr. The RNS announcement will not be half-baked, it will be full on - it will make a real statement. I have no concerns with CH and management and advisors at Zephyr. Patience here will pay big time and sooner than expected. IMO

@NoFear. Got bored so added twice more today. £26k earlier (after my top up to £100k) and just now £34k for 181700 shares at £0.186157 . So now all in with Capita for £160K. That sounds better, might top it up to £200k in near future.

@Trisor The overall market is down today, most more than Capita. You need not worry about Capita's share price. JO is invested in Capita. You can relax now. I know what I know.

@Culley I agree. Let's focus on Capita, which is what I have tried to do. If it wasn't for all these pesky character assassins, dressed in grey with not much in the way of a sense of humour. Some of them would make excellent asset valuers.

Just read your post about the valuation/s you mentioned based on your research: You stated that "...my guesstimate is around 60m"; followed by "...if we get a similar valuation to capita one, we could get around 40m"; and then finally "...I read in investors chronicle it’s £83.2m, but don’t know how they get to that figure."

Given your post and the above, do you see now why I replied the way I did and why I don't waste my time trying to value assets?

As mentioned, I'll leave the valuation of company assets to the men (and women) in their greys suits and their rather expressionless demeanors...ever notice they never smile and rarely crack a joke? I suppose it comes with the territory - once they place a valuation on an asset, they need to justify that valuation. Everyone has an opinion...everyone and no-one is right all at the same time.

I answered your post with a few of my reasons as to why your question around valuations of assets were rather pointless - and my point (pardon the pun) has since been proven as per above. You then called me 'an obnoxious individual' (for no apparent reason). Can you please apologise for your unkind outburst?

@okeydokey. There are many reasons your question is pointless.

To mention a few...

I am a senior banker and a private investor. I am not, nor have I ever claimed to be, a 'valuer of assets'.

It may be your hobby to value Capita's assets, but it's not mine. I'll leave the valuation of company assets to the men (and women) in their greys suits and their rather expressionless demeanors.

The valuation of an asset is irrelevant if Capita does not intend to sell it. The valuation of an asset is irrelevant if no one wants to buy it.

The valuation made on any asset (by the so called 'valuer' of the asset) is only true at the exact time the valuation is made (no sooner and no later).

The valuation of an asset on the balance sheet can always be taken with a grain of salt (to say the least...the very least). EG. Plenty of companies have an impressive asset valuation on their balance sheets, until they enter liquidation, then the true value of those same assets are put to the test by the market value (i.e. sold price of those same assets).

The fact remains that the value of an asset is whatever someone is prepared to pay. EG. Did you think Capita One would be sold for circa £207 million? Neither did I. The buyer is always in a far better position than anyone else (including the seller) as to what the asset is worth and this is almost always dependant upon how the asset (for example Capita One) will 'bolt' onto/into their business, and the relevant synergies, cost savings etc. to be achieved and by what timeframes.

I can understand if you think your question is relevant, but for me it's pointless. My advice is to look at closley at...oh what's the point...

BTW 'Okily Dokily' (are you Ned Flanders from 'The Simpsons'?)...you sound like you are somewhat jealous of my 'love in' (your words, not mine) with NoFear. I know I'm a bit of a catch, but you're not jealous are you? You're not a stalker (like Trisor) are you? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt...for now.

Done. At 10.17am today I £30,000 more invested into Capita share price at £0.189086p shares added 157837. Is that OK with you Trisor. Total investment so far at £100,000 that looks and sounds better. I do prefer round figures.

@Okeydokey Phew more questions/comments directed at me. Well, I'll answer them in the same order...

What makes you think I have a 'big secret' as to why I invested into Capita? When did I ever say I have a big (or small for that matter) secret? You are putting words in my mouth.

I hear investors talk about how much they invest all the time - on a daily (often hourly) basis, so I don't find talking amounts invested (or percentages, returns etc.) crass in anyway shape or form. If you find numbers invested 'all a bit crass' and are triggered in some way, then I would say you are probably a bit of a lightweight. Personally I am very comfortable with any and all numbers...throw them all my way - the more detail the better. In any case to expand on my answer to this part of your question/comment, I don't keep telling everyone how much I'm investing. I only directed my posts about how much I was investing to two fellow investors, and I addressed it them personally as @NoFear and @Trisor (with Trisor I even added a personalised title for him alone). I don't really expect anyone else to read or comment (especially so ruthlessly) about my 'private' posts when directed to them personally. In summary, I told Fear (a true and trusted investment friend) that I had invested with my first dip at £30k; and then I told Trisor (the skeptic who engaged with me when I was clearly only posting to @NoFear about my initial investment and basically called me a liar that I had invested...so I let him know prior to my second investment of £40k) as well as NoFear (still my true and trusted investment friend). Hopefully you don't find this too crass, but I think I will throw in another £30k at some point today as I prefer the sound of £100k invested (rather than the current £70k). I know it's still a bit low and not my usual investment amounts, but that is reflective based on the fact that Capita remains a turnaround story...despite efforts from the Capita Fan Club - most of whom have now blocked me (thank goodness) - who say it's the best investment proposition since sliced bread.

Your last question/comment about the value of assets and potential income from asset sales etc. This is a rather a pointless question. With respect, you are probably focused in the wrong area. DYOR. I actually have today off, so I can sit and ponder over why I think Capita is an OK investment...hmmmm...let me think...now there's NoFear's 'will I won't I'...and he did...there is of course NoFear's mention of sheep...the sheep crook sorted that out...

If you read the original post (and my answer to it) you will see that the original post was wide ranging and mainly focused on political and military alliances, trouble-spots etc. I highlighted just how wide ranging the original post was by answering just one small aspect from the Australian perspective.

While the original post may be of interest to some (such as yourself - although you did not express any views on any of the matters expressed therein), personally as an investor, I prefer to discuss my investment - Prudential Plc (...not just the RNS announcements), rather than a very large geo-political area and its troubles of which Prudential along with other public companies have little or no control over.

@JPFD @Broomtree. The key phrase is 'cashflow negative'. AH knows cash is king. As per my previous posts on this matter, AH knows he must keep as much cash in the business as possible. Therefore, debt reduction is secondary to cash in the business. As for dividends, forget it.

@NoFear. I think I'll buy another £30k Capita shares. Why not? After all an investment of £100k sounds better than my current £70k doesn't it? When do you think I should hit the 'buy' button with my lightsaber? 3.25pm...3.30pm? Any thoughts?

@Okey-dokey. I have my reasons for my investment in Capita. You will understand if I do not share those reasons on this discussion board...due to certain toxic characters here. Your comment about FOMO says more about your investment strategy and methodology than mine. I don't do FOMO ever. To understand why I invested in Capita (besides the fact I like NoFear), you need to look beyond the...oh wait, why bother.

@broomtree. Actually the Capita discussion board can be fun and informative...if you want it to be. The 'investors' who seek sewrious (not a spelling error) discussion and also block others who are not CFC (Capita Fan Club) members are narrow-minded and can easily miss out on clear and consise observations, as they have their blindfolds on and their fingers in their ears. For me I miss very little. Oh well, each to their own.

@SavageKeyboard. I don't check Capita share price on a miniute by minute basis. To be frank, I don't care what the Capita share price is today, or tomorrow, or the next day. I know what I know.

Jeez I have to say, the hate mail is bad on me here. You'd think I committed a crime. To think, all I did was mention to Trisor that I was about to place a £40k trade in advance of doing so - to 'prove' to him (as he called me a liar last time I invested £30k) that I'm a real investor in Capita. It's hardly a large amount. Oh well, you can't please some people.

I would have thought fellow investors here would be pleased I've joined the party, and would ask serious questions about why I invested here - especially I am a successful investor and senior banker (had to add 'senior' in for Trisor) who has assessed and financed and been involved at senior management level with many sucessful turnaround businesses over the years. Anyway to address your points (in the same order)...

You are entitled to your opinion that I am some paid actor. I am entitled to my opinion that you are a skeptic who lies in order to discredit someone whose opinions/views differ from your own. Anyone who bothers to read my posts (especially my earlier posts on Capita) will know I have never been anti-Capita. I never said I was a 'hot shot' banker. Your words not mine. Yet another example of a subtle way for you to discredit me. It is not a requirment for anyone to be 'invested' in order to contribute to this or any other discussion board. You cannot speak for @NoFear - in my opinion @NoFear I were engaging in friendly banter about 'will I won't I' and 'sheep'..and actually in a way @NoFear encouraged me to invest £70k so far. Capita is not my usual investment i.e. growing revenues and profits, strong balance sheet, low debt (I could contiue but I'm not here to provide you or anyone else with my criteria for investment).

As for your last paragraph...I have addressed these already. I let you know that I was about to buy £40k in Capita shares and then purchased them. Even after this, you still were skeptical that I had bought them, even though the facts proved otherwise. That is stupid and you lied...even when I deliberately let you know I was about to buy these shares. As for your 'bog off' comment. I'm invested in Capita, so I'll 'bog off' when I feel like it. Let's agree to not engage with each other any further, and we'll leave it at that.

@Trisor. I let NoFear know I had brought shares. You were the one who engaged me and took your pot-shot at me and said you did not believe me when I said I purchased £30,000 Capita shares. I then replied in the best way I knew how and let you know in advance that I was about to buy £40,000 Capita shares...and then purchased them. Even after I did this you took another pot-shot. So naturally I fired back. What do you expect me to do?

At least we agree on one thing, you are a sceptic. I don't mind sceptics, when their opinions/views are based on fact, not fiction. You made up that I didn't buy, when I did (and I proved it the second time), and you did this in order to spite or discredit me in some way.

Anyway, unless you want to continue to engage in these pointless exchanges, I suggest you think twice before you call someone out for being a liar, when in fact it is you who is the liar.

@Trenner. I typically invest in companies for the medium to long term. I ahve already mentioned that I see Capita in a positive light, and the ship can be turned around. To be honest, £70K is chicken feed and not my usual investment amount at all. I really only invested as I find NoFear quite funny...although he has lost his sense of humour recently over the last couple of posts. Hopefully the real NoFear will return!
