‘The last of the V-8’s’......with an Aussie accent,what a film!! I think it’ll be a long time before chainsaws,brushcutters,leaf blowers and the other stuff in my sheds get powered by batteries as they just don’t have the power for the kind of jobs I do.

I’m sure they’ll find a way but like lpg etc just a bit wary of that pressure....tbh if I had my way I’d have a steam engine running off my homegrown logs if I could!!

They used to use it on earth floors,dries like concrete(apparently)...not sure I’d want to try it mind you! Hydrogen good point,plenty of it but storing and transporting? You sometimes see compressed gas signs on cars.....that’s a better deterrent than a tow bar to keep the tailgaters away!

Ha ha...you could call it biofuel as I for one grow more than I could ever burn,sustainable and all that!! I think in years to come they’ll crack the battery capacity/solar power nut for most domestic use. Don’t like these electric cars mind you.

Buying firewood, crikey mate I hope that doesn’t become too regular! They hung around a quid for years then shot up well over two and now they’ve drifted down quite rapidly(since I added!). They’re quarterly payers but have reduced the next one for some reason. I think the best deals around are imb/bats at the moment being defensive and unlikely to fall under any political upset threats on the horizon. If it wasn’t for that fear I’d be stuffing it all into utilities. Had a lucky break with an ash tree that fell into my side of the field this year so had the lot!

Evening all. Hi AA, have a few stob which I annoyingly added to recently so overall offside plus a divvy cut to add salt! Also have kier,Galliford Try and interserve but the latter is certainly heading the percentage loss competition! My only activity this week was buying a few MCLS which look oversold more than all the other ones that looked oversold before I bought them lol.

Hopefully it won’t get to that point but I’ll bear it in mind lol. Not watching the markets too closely as still waiting for the house sale to happen but have the odd dip in here and there plus appear to have a rights issue to fund on kier,didn’t see that one coming! Miss the old days when bby aka the old girl used to pop back up to three quid every time it dropped,mind you at least it’s not a carillion or interserve....gulp!

There’s plenty of predators for them up there so in a way don’t mind the old banger being a refuge especially as I only paid fifty quid for it but wouldn’t be too happy if they got into something that’ll cost a bit more plus they’ll have the bedding etc! The hound scares them away from the barn when we’re in it but soon return so everything is in tins and tubs!!

Have been debating whether to get a caravan for a while but fear it could become another mousehouse! We got an old runner(car) and did the sorn thing and it’s full of mice now lol

I thought I was being tough kipping overnight at the field one night last week.....came home with a streaming cold!!

It really hurts when we look in retrospect mate!
