Had a listen to the interview, and it appears that the permit approval for Coyote Wash could arrive at any time now, all the paperwork is done. Coyote Wash is the largest of the two assets so this in theory is the best one to get. However he did say that the Sagebrush approval could quickly follow. We also have the completion of the seismic report in 2-3 weeks time, so we could have good news flow in the months of February and March. Permit approvals are normally difficult to achieve, so if we do get this hopefully it will finally give us a very good rerate to the share price.
What I found strange was the fact that the interviewer did not ask about a possible JV, Howard appears determined to go it alone. I believe strongly that an offer will come in, not a buy-out, but funding for a percentage of the the assets. This I'm thinking will only happen when the following points have been achieved. 1) the seismic report is complete, 2) the permit approvals have been granted and 3) the EWT has proven to be commercial.
I think a good offer will be hard for Howard to refuse,
A partner with deeper pockets may decide they want to target the helium before the oil. We may also receive an offer of an off-take. So lots to think about if successful.
