If it was my 100k I would probably opt for BP mainly because the current share price is very close to the 12 month low and a very good entry price in my view. best of luck with your investment
Yes it is unfortunately, however, it is a consequence of the popular vote, but looking on the bright side its got very little to do with the value of BP
Hi Lee Rex. I think you will find that the record date for Q3 dividend qualification is 9th Nov, therefore you must be on record as holding the stock on 9th Nov otherwise you will miss out.
Morning all, Lovely to see a little harmony returning to the board. Tim, if its any help at all the last three div payments were as follows: March 7.1691p June 7.4434p September 7.9296p Best of luck to you.
Hi Speedy, if you Google search for ' can computers influence share prices' you will find an interesting article in The Register published in June 2013 which I think you might enjoy reading. Just hope it won't scare you too much lol Jakers
Investors are like lemmings, when a few start jumping off the cliff, many follow. So it is with computers, when share price drops to a preset level the computers automatically begin a sell off which is impossible to control
I would love to think so Billybigwig, and i'm sure it will happen soon, however, there seems to be resistance at 592/593 just like last time we got to this point back on 22nd May, and not sure why.
However, a Norwegian Government report ( FT 24th August 2018) stated that they should continue to stay invested in oil and gas, so that's unlikely to change in my view.
Hmmm, This struggled to get to 592 back in May, and didn't stay there long, i would like to see the 600 barrier broken in the near term, but 700 is very wishful thinking.
