My understanding is that bp's breakeven oil price is mid $40's so I think dividends will be safe for now, bearing in mind that we are still scraping our way back from the massive reduction in dividends it would be hugely unpopular if we were to have another setback

Mr Manifold takes over with our price below the benchmark 70$ anticipated by auchincloss so there is already a considerable headwind. I think the dynamic between Manifold and Auchincloss needs to develop in a very positive way moving forward. I just wonder though if Auchincloss is the right man for the job given past history under his control. Wecwill seen see the results hopefully good ones.

They may well do something like that however, at this early stage I'm not clear how they can put an accurate commercial value on the potential of Boomerangue. My best guess would be when there is more clarity on exactly what is in the ground they might seek jv partnerships to fully develop.

Where is the logic in the labour government policy. From a simple economic standpoint how does it make any sense to purchase foreign oil, contributing massively to a negative balance of payments and putting british workers offshore and at our refineries out of work, when we have the oil sitting in our own backyard. Milliband is a complete idiot and hopefully will soon be history together with this pathetic excuse for a government . The quicker we can rid our country of this shower the better for everyone

It would certainly be nice if that were to happen, however as things stand I cannot see the welcome extending to european businesses unfortunately. Will be interesting to see how things pan out after the war is over.
