Morning Meoryou lol I wish.... sad thing is that there's nothing wrong with BO, just contagion unfortunately the wretched bankers are out of control. I see six other US banks are currently under thorough inspection. All leads to lack of confidence, and that's all this is. We will climb back and recoup the 15% we lost over the past couple of weeks, not sure how long it will take this time
Good morning MKumar and everyone.
Comfort reading !!!
I'm not a subscriber on TipRanks but just wondered if the 30% projection was based on today's stock price or last weeks. Thanks for the post
Chid, there's a lot of negatively around at present., Yes the looming budget might be a concern, the economy also, but I wonder just how US will respond to the drone incident over the black Sea, I would be surprised if they do not retaliate in some way. Personally, I'm looking forward to the meetings between China and Russia next week and in particular the subsequent meeting between China and Ukraine., dare we hope for some sort of breakthrough ??? who knows but it would be very welcome
Hi Spights, oil seems to be in 'twitchy' mode presently due to the banking fiasco and lack of confidence, however, I do think today will see us making positive headway have a good day. Are you still in Cheltenham?
Hi Spights Meoryou Happy and all,
Not having a good day, decided to take dog for a long walk to cheer myself up after realising were almost 4% down., bad decision as my buckinghat got blown off my buckineers in the gales.
Is this the cause of todays fallback or is it the silicon Bank fiasco that's ruffled our feathers.
It's embarrassing the way we seem to perfect the art of grasping defeat from the Jaws of victory in this country. I was becoming hopeful that most sane individuals had come to realise and accept that we simply cannot rush the transformation to renewable energy but maybe I was mistaken, not for the first time.
Good morning Spights, Yes the Democrats hate the oil companies as was demonstrated during the gom disaster, when Obama was no friend to BP. Sadly Trump wasn't about then.
Hope you are coping with the snow.
Good newd Terry, should boost the dividend amount. Following Powell's remarks about liklihood of increased interest rates I expect to see the share price fall back on opening this morning taking its lead from eastern markets
Interesting post Grandadtom., I didn't realise they actually turned off the 'whirlygiggs' because the grid couldn't cope.
Therein lies the long term problem if our infrastructure/national grid simply cannot cope
Morning Spights, it's a curious article... I cannot see BP halting the buybacks process in the near term, although I would be perfectly happy if the did and concentrated more on debt reduction and dividend reinstatement, especially at these elevated share prices. Have a good day
Good morning Spights Meoryou JSB and all.
We seem to be in yoyo pattern between 550 and 560 for a while now. I'm hoping we can step up to 480 before next results.
Sadly I don't think there's much chance of a takeover bid but it's making a lot of 'inches' in the press. If we had a resolution to Rosneft and paid down the GM debt perhaps we would be an irresistible honeypot for one if the big players. Have a good day
