I’m guessing the fear of tax break removals will have caused many to sell out and lock in the tax losses so that they can be carried forward.

If your sitting on Xtr from 2 or 3p why not lock in 70% or more losses and then just pay the spread to buy back to safeguard future profits on xtr or elsewhere?

The quick thinking who sold out soonest will in some cases lock in the loss AND buy back cheaper..

Mine are buried in an ISA so no point for me but if I was holding these stocks outside the tax wrapper I would be locking in losses to store against future upheavals.

Bern dealing on AIM since the 90’s and I believe this slump is worse than post dot com, post 9/11, financial crash or pandemic sell off.

The wheels came off and I think the survival of AIM itself is under threat.

Many more companies de-listing than listing and valuations driven so low the market caps are curses not blessings.

Xtr whether by Luck, judgement or other factors unknown is in a relatively strong position that most other explorers would gladly swap for.

How effectively and efficiently those funds are deployed is another conversation but at least xtr has a future to play for when many are staring down the barrel of mega dilution or worse.

Nominal value here .4 so almost at nominal already which seems crazy given the quarterly 750k’s plus the 2 mill in the bank..

Zap if Bird was truly all about streamlining costs to holders advantage then he wouldn’t be taking healthy salaries out of each and every. He’d be taking less cash and stock in lieu. in my opinion. This would send a much stronger signal to the market.

How many full time salaries can one man sincerely justify when he’s spread across the lot?

That said I’m still holding an avg of just under a penny here and about to double down.

XTR cash payments might just put the co in position to emerge from a mass extinction of AIM explorers. Once the weak cease to exist the terrain will be more fertile for the survivors and historically better valuations may return. (Fingers crossed)

Look at all the other explorers out there, most have bod’s with proper skin in game. They all know stuff too, it’s just another BS excuse.

A few years back there were concerns about their lack of holdings but benefit of doubt was given that the holdings round increase with time.

Now they simply seem to be using feeble excuses as they stubbornly refuse to put back in any of the money they suck out.

Therefore market expectation is high already, not much wiggle room for anything less than solid on time results, but then as they have been described as directors holes where’s the surprise to the upside element?

But the last roll only applies to the shareholders it doest apply to the bod who can issue confetti at any price.

Bod can just keep on spinning stories, diluting and if/when SP gets crushed (just like the majority of AIM fraction of a penny explorers) can just claim bad luck, tough conditions, sp out of their control.

The form guide is there for all to see, would be very unwise not to take into account bod’s rep and track record when thinking about OMI.

agree with ****y’s post about having no choice to keep lights on but there are many things they could have done to help sentiment such as not giving themselves indiscriminate payrises, purchasing stock in their own company, getting things done on time to manage cash burn.

The “Brad says” crew still don’t get it.

Even in the best case scenario of good and more importantly timely drill results from Pepas the SP still faces huge challenges.

You can’t go round swapping big chunks of equity for small amounts of money (which is largely spent on non value enhancing activity such as wages or soil and rock chip samples) and expect the SP to react positively. Not in any company especially one like OMI.

Best case scenario allows them to kick the can further and keep the gravy train moving along but does little for market value as the market will know they are running on fumes again.

Anything less than good and timely results from Pepas and it won’t matter what Argentina throws up as the next lot of money would be accessed very punitively .

Just don’t understand the excitement at this stage when it’s clearly more about survival..
