Could IOG approach major shareholders before an official offer is made and offer more than they intend to offer small shareholders and then once they have got their required percentage mop up the remaining shares will a lower offer?
oil Where does 150% come into it? The value of the company is not based on a % of it's closing price on Friday, hoping desperate people will go for it. The value is there to be worked out logically.
3 days ago I posted a message " 19 days for someone else to step in and make a better offer." I have just read what I posted. I typed my message 3 days ago and pressed post without reading it I think what I meant to put was 19 days before someone else puts in a better offer than they where thinking of putting in. If that makes sense.
"Delt has value which I do not think will be reflected in the initial offer IOG bring forward, if indeed they make an offer. I am happy to wait, unless we get an outrageously good offer ( doubtful). Patience is always a virtue."
I agree with you 100% on this point. But as far as house prices go I disagree.
Fairdealer20 If you live on housing estate where there are dozens of houses the same as yours, your price is set by what other people are prepared to accept for their house. Is this the case here?? Bottom line is you don't have to sell
Just received in the post a statement re possible offer for Deltic Energy plc Nothing in the statement we don't already know, but I never got such a statement in the post when Rebold made an offer. Did anyone else?
